Have you used LMC Truck before??

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has used and can recommend these guys - 1973-1979 Ford Truck 1978-1979 Ford Bronco Body Panels - LMC Truck Features Products - for getting parts for my '74 F100..... they seem to have everything I need to bring her back up to scratch but I don't want to find out that panels don't line up properly or need massaging once they arrive here from the States.

Cheers in advance!
Jais.

Not to put a downer on things but from asking around NONE of the aftermarket panels are any better than flimsy.
I have 2 brand new doors for your truck and mine but my panel guy said sell them on and get some OEM from the states and just repair them.
There is a place in Bayswater that does all the panels and for around $1500 you can have everything but the cab in Chinese aftermarket panels.
The thing about something the size of panels is getting them over here.
Maybe the Oz Chapter guys need to do a parts order and organize a container. lol

But to answer the main question I haven't used LMC but they have so much stuff it's like being in a toy store. Great shop....

Bugger, that's the answer I wasn't hoping for... Looks like it'll be the old fashioned cut, shape and shut then. Not to worry, the tig welder should take care of it nicely :)

I like the idea of a massive group buy to fill a 20-footer too. A friend used to work for Maersk so can probably get discounted shipping rates too hahahaha!

Having mentioned the quality of parts there are many brands of aftermarket panels for F trucks, and some are better than others.
I dont know what LMC carries but I had nearly $1500 worth of parts in my cart on sunday before my hand started to shake and I deleted them.
I actually picked up a good 2nd hand cab from here and then had the rhd conversion done, which is very easy except for the windcreen wipers. (mine are still lhd) lol.
Check out the USAtoAUS website.
They will collect and ship parts to here with all the relevent paprwork and it doesnt really cost that much, although I could imagine you'd have to wait until they had a container full before they'd ship..
When on LMC next check out the custom rolled grilles for the '79.
Very nice indeed, and I will be getting one.

Yeah they're not bad at all!! I'm in love with the 73-77 billet grille they have, that's one of the main parts I was actually after - and some of the other stuff like lights and the split rear window, but I don't know of the legalities to having them here. Would be great to have that while the dogs are in the back, though!!

Might want to chat to them.
Im currently dealing with USAto AUS getting my motor across. Their parts division is in a bit of a shambles atm. They have had an unexpected extended leave by the guy who handles their shipping parts in the US. So they are suspending the parts side of it for 6 months until he returns. Im in desperate need to find a regular shipping contact cause a have a heap of potential buys with the way the little Aussie battla is doing atm.

The split windows, if you mean the sliding ones, are available here in aus straight from ebay, and they're not too expensive either.

I have used LMC before and they also have a lot of after market parts. Some of the more original parts like horn buttons etc I think they buy in from Dennis Carpenter Ford who produce the best Ford parts as they buy the machinery from Ford and use that. They are sometimes dearer as well. LMC have a STEEL chrome plated grille surround which is better than the flimsy aluminium ones and also they have a 38 gallon fuel tank (about 160 litres) this fits in the back. Auto Krafters is another site for our Ford parts. If you want electric windows for your drive then go to A1 electric Life and they have one part no. FD41 K. Looking for a 200amp alternator for your toy then go to DB Electrical in Tennessee. Just google the names as I do not want to post the links. Cheers
