one thing i will suggest corey is to take the star course...it is a motorcycle drivers ed of sorts...it really helps you learn how to react safely in certian situations and not to mention its saves a bit on insurance

Rob suggested that as well. I am going to make some time this summer.

If the dealers around there are like the ones here, there are no deals. I got my latest Harley private party for almost $3K less than the dealer.

The import dealers here are just as bad.

Hey Micah, what kind of mpg's do you get with the Sportster?

Afternoon Montana...Happy Cinco de'Mayo!

I just landed in Detroit...sitting in the Delta Club..dreaming about some tequila tonight when I get home to go with the taco's for dinner!!!

Harely dealers do NOT negotiate...even when they can't give them away...they are used to the "glory" days...the recession has hurt ALL businesses and Harley has to catch up...they make a good product...but there are other choices out there and they need to realize that...plus there are lots of very gently used bikes in the private sector for sale too!

I also recommend the motorcycle "ed" class...and when you get your own bike take the "advanced" class which you take with your own bike...

Have a great one everyone!

Joe.
