Oh god no, I can barely handle one woman and Im pretty sure I don't have any mystical warlock powers.

Is there anything the motorcyclists could have done to survive?

Nope. The stupid ass crossed over in a two lane construction zone, they had absolutely no chance.

Yeah, my blood still boils over that one. He did finally plead guilty and they gave him 25 years... but, he'll probably be out in 10, and since he's only 22, he'll have plenty of time to have a life, unlike the guys he killed. :-banghead

But, those are the risks you take when you decide to ride a motorcycle. Only you can decide if the risks outweigh the benefits. I tried to go without a bike, but I was going crazy. Don't know how to explain it... you either love riding or you don't. The wife is ok with it, provided I keep my life insurance paid up. She has instructed my biker buddies to suffocate me if it appears I survive a crash but look like I may be in a vegetative state. It's nice to know the ones you love look out for you! ;)

Hmm, its instances like that which make me hesitant to learn. I dunno, its still on my bucket list though.

Some experts say that if they were not riding in a close, staggered formation, a couple of them might have survived. One guy actually lived long enough to make it to the hospital, but the others were killed on impact.

Most likely, he would have killed someone in a car too... probably himself too.

What's really hard about that story, is that the kid had prior DUI's and a lot of people knew he had a major drinking problem.

People always seem to turn a blind eye until something tragic happens, claiming its just what kids do. Im young, but I never put anyone at risk by attempting to drive drunk.

morning all.

Ouch, tough love. With family like that you don't need friends like us, LOL!

jredline1984 05-05-2011 09:53 AM

Morning Shaun!

fire240 05-05-2011 09:54 AM

Morning Corey.

jredline1984 05-05-2011 09:59 AM

Howdy Shaun, the topic of the morning is motorcycles and whether or not I should buy one.

cowboywanabe 05-05-2011 10:04 AM

But, it's all about Pat today since it's his Friday...

Howdy Shaun, you're here early!

fire240 05-05-2011 10:05 AM

I see that Corey. My dad is into scooters. He currently has a 150cc from genuine. (think the vespa p series scooter) and his newest one is a 250 qlink commuter.

fire240 05-05-2011 10:06 AM

Morning Rob. I know Im early. Been up all night sick.

sddesigns 05-05-2011 10:07 AM

My wifes best friend was killed in a motorcycle accident, seemed to be fine right after, was walking and talking, by the time she got to the hospital she died from internal bleeding.

My middle daughter is her namesake....needless to say there aren't any motorcycles in my future, I had several back in the day.
