What oil for 5.4
 

I have an oil change coming up in the next ~300 miles or so, and just wanted to know what oil you guys are running in your 5.4s. :-wink

MC semisyn 5w20

Chevron Supreme 5w30 with a Motocraft oil filter

What the owner manual recommends (meets Ford specifications).

I run 5w-20, was just curious what brands.

Whatever 5W20 is on sale at WalMart, O'Reillys, or AutoZone.

I've used SuperTech, Mobil1, Valvoline, Havoline, Pennzoil, whatever and the engine doesn't care. As long as the oil is "good enough" and it gets changed by the prescribed interval, you'll be fine.

Motorcraft oil and filter. The dealers price is actually better than Wal Mart.

I use Mobile One 5W20 and a Wix filter.

used to always use royal purple synthetic 5-30 with a k&n filter...but felt i was wasting my money cause i still got cold start piston slap....so i went cheaper this last change and got motorcraft full synthetic 5w20 and a motorcraft filter

I just changed mine with royal purple 5w20 and a mobil one filter. I've used these same products in almost every other vehicle I have and have had great luck with them.

Amsoil wix filter!

How is Napa Gold for this engine? I've had pretty good luck with them for every other vehicle I've owned.

I made some money today so im going to buy my oil tomorrow. Probably valvoline full synthetic 5w-20 with motorcraft filter. Does everyone run synthetic?
