Good morning for you guys. Our air conditioner dumped yesterday. It worked the day before, but leave it to go south on the day it hit 100* in Manhattan. The good part is the serviceman is coming this afternoon.

That sounds pretty similar to when our furnace shot craps last winter Del. Right when it started kicking on more than usual it broke on us. Took me 2 weeks to get the right part hunted down and installed but only cost me $60 bucks since I did it myself :)

Did a little preventive maintenance on our AC last night by taking off the top of the unit outside and blowing the gunk out of the unit with the garden hose. I need to re wrap the piping outside tonight since the old stuff is pretty well degraded away.

Del, would you like to borrow our window ac for a while? its not very big, but does a nice job.

husker 05-10-2011 02:58 PM

Thanks Curtis, but I'm sitting at home right now waiting or the furnace man to show up to fix the thing. Besides, after tomorrow it will be cooler through next weekend.

Garden Spyder 05-10-2011 03:03 PM

ok, don't be shy, if it takes them very long to fix it, feel free to hit me up, I will bring it out to you!

husker 05-10-2011 03:06 PM

Thanks, our neighbor offered a free standing one too.
