Private Messaging - please read

Hi all

The private message option has to be checked in your settings for this to work. If you have chosen not to receive PM's then dont read on. If you do wish to receive PM's follow these steps.

1. Click on User CP (top left of screen)
2. Click on Settings and Options ( scroll down left side)
3. Click on Edit Options.
then take 5 minutes to go through the options available. Check or Uncheck to your hearts content.

I must add that this option is a great way for me to keep you Guys/Girls informed regarding up coming events, special deals and the like.

Thanks

You also want to be aware of the options regarding "THREAD NOTIFICATIONS"

~Now, if you're a guy like me - you don't want your E-MAIL filling up with notifications that you will see when you log in to the website anyhow - am I correct?

You should check on how that is set up in your options in the user CP, or either under "SUBSCRIPTIONS"

One of them will prevent how you are notified from becoming an annoying nuisance, and you should look through it all regardless...
ANYTHING that offers the choice: "NO E-MAIL NOTIFICATION" is precisely what you are looking for

SPECIFICALLY - somewhere in all of it you can specify how you are notified of threads that you have subscribed to, you ought really to hunt that down until you find it!

I hope this helps avoid you chucking a perfectly good swan across the room (glass and all) and SCREAMING things that you don't want your youngsters to ever hear :-down

~G'day, M8's :-X22

*Also be aware that there is another option you can set - you can opt not to AUTOMATICALLY subscribe to every silly bugger of a thread that you have ever posted in - making a subscription to it an act of WILL on your part

FOR EXAMPLE: I have scrolled to the top of this thread, selected "THREAD TOOLS" and "Subscribed" to this one

That means whenever I go to my "USER CP", which is where I generally start - I'll spot anything new here at once
