95 f 250 hood wont open
 

Today I opened my hood on my 95 f 250 4x4 to check the oil when I went to close the hood it closed on one side of the hood first left side. Now the hood is locked shut but the hood is sticking up and a half inch on both sides of the hood.it looks like its open part way but I cant seem to get it open. IM not sure why it wont open but anyway when I pull the latch I dot get any sound like its releasing the lock it just clicks..how to I get this thing opened even if the cable broke i have to get it open.Not really sure how to fix this or if the cables not broke how to get the hood open it just wont give.I worried the hood may go up when im driving it.anyone?

sounds like the hood missed the latch all together. try to pry it up very csrefully

thats odd I wonder whats holding it shut?

I dont think it missed the latch cause it wont open so it must be hooked at least a little.but im not really sure how to pry it up cause the latch wont release.grrrrr

This has happened to me before on my F250. I tried:

1) Have my wife pull on the hood release as I pushed down on the hood and pulled the lever. Didn't work, but it's worth a shot.
2) Using a screwdriving, I pried the crap out of the lever while pushing down and it eventually popped open. Be careful.
