Air Suspension option - what models?
 

I'm starting to search for a replacement for our 2000 EB 4/awd which has the load leveling suspension. I know there are arguments for and against the air suspension, but despite its flaws, I am a fan and want it on our next Expy. We are looking at 2008-2010 model years and are having a difficult time figuring out what trim level and which option packages include the Air Ride (option 68L I think). Can anyone shed light on whether 68L is available on XLTs and/or Eddie Bauers of these years? And if so, what option package is required? Thanks.

You won't have a problem finding it. The rear air bag suspension was optional on the '07 XLT and standard on the fancier trim lines. Available on all. I special ordered an XLT specifically to avoid the bags. I don't haul 1500 pounds of cargo, its a SUV, not a pickup.

I dont think air suspension was ever standard on any trim level. Always an option for additional $485. My 08 Limited has every option except air suspension and 3.73 gears. I specifically searched for one that didnt have it.

In looking at a 2010 Expedition brochure, it looks like the only way to get the air suspension was by ordering rapid spec 203A, which is (1) hard to find, (2) expensive, and (3) has a lot of bells and whistles I don't care about (e.g., dvd, nav, etc). Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Does anyone have a 2010 with rear air/load leveling suspension with an option package other than the 203A?
