1997 F350 2WD Short Bed Diesel Prerunner

97 F350 old body style 7.3 diesel prerunner short bed for sale or trade. All of the hard work has been done. 5" over front 1" Kingpin beams, extended steering, extended radius arms, 14" dual rate Sway-A-Ways (I have cycled the front suspension and at full droop the tires are far away from the a/c box and are away from the front glass when turned lock to lock), front bumper and skid plate, rear bedcage with 2 spare matching wheels and tires (not currently in the truck), glass all the way around, freshly restored interior, working heater, Ice cold A/C, Alpine deck with i-pod hookup and brand new Eclipse 2-way speakers in the doors and rear 1/4 panels . All service is up to date. Tranny has been rebuilt with a billet torque converter installed. Now for the bad. Paint is decent, has a few scratches, dings and dents. It isnt a trailer queen but isnt a total pile either. Rear suspension is stock, and the title is salvaged due to theft, not an accident. I have full documentation for this. Asking $8,995 Cash Firm. Only trade im interested in is a black 92-96 F150 Lightning + cash.

Why do the fenders look like that??

offrdmania 03-29-2011 02:51 PM

Stock fenders would get in the way of the tire when the suspension cycles off road. You would destroy your stock fenders. So the fiberglass fenders are bulged out for tire clearance

snaponprofile 03-29-2011 03:07 PM

Oh ok, you had them made?

offrdmania 03-29-2011 03:19 PM

Nope, a few companies make them for desert racing

snaponprofile 03-29-2011 03:48 PM

So why did you put all that work into it and have it 2x4?? Not being a jerk, just wondering.

Desert trucks are built for speed in the desert. 4wd is not needed. 4wd is for mud. Plus, the front axles limit the suspension travel.
