Mervy looks nice! are you going to add a braket to tie the three long spacers together to make it easier to install.... shouldn't have any problem of the mount moving when it's tighten down 4 mounting bolts... Keep up the great work... BBF? What box/rack are you using?

Moe,
I bought it off of Ebay, they are getting kind of pricey but sometimes you can find them that aren't listed right. If you search for them on ebay keep in mind that Packard and Oldsmobile also used them. I think they were used from roughly 1953 to 55 or so.
I think you can get a new repop from Speedway motors for less than $200
Thanks for the compliment on the valve covers....I sort of made them by combining the tops of mid 50's valve covers with later model valve covers.

Iwanaflattie,

Thanks for the compliment. I ended up using Ford blue on the engine because none of the local parts stores had Caddy blue in stock. Since its sitting in a Ford truck it all works out ok....lol

I'm going to use long spacers similar to the factory method on the long bolts. I am presently rethinking this setup, I think I can come up with a better way yet. Saginaw pump and toy box.

I changed over to a serpetine belt . I got at a local garage we believe the engine came out of 80's mercury. It should save me some room and it makes it easy to add air and power steering and was less than 100$

SCRAPHEAP51 02-22-2011 11:40 PM

HERES MINE
At the time of the picture I still had to put on the Saginaw PS pump install fuel line and some other items.
Bobby I dig that air cleaner where did you get that?

agronomistont, I was thinking about a Serpintine Belt system... But my heads aren't drilled for it...

Ron, Nice motor...
