heavy duty springs
I have a 2010 Lariat supercab 4X2. I'm wanting to swap out my rear springs with the max towing springs or good aftermarket heavy towing/load springs. Any ideas where or what? I want to keep OEM as possible I'm not one for adding all the "sporty" stuff. A truck is a truck for me just call me old school.

there's always the possibility of adding air bags instead. Firestone makes manual airbags or you can buy the aux compressor to go with them.

You can have a spring shop add a couple of leafs to your existing rear springs cheaper than the max payload springs from Ford. I priced max payload springs and they were in excess of $170 each with my discount.

Another option is supersprings.com
I have a set and no regrets. |
I looked at the superspring. WOW from NAPA they are over 600 for the pair

I paid just over $400.
Try autoanything.com, or northern tool SuperSprings Leaf Spring, SuperSprings Leaf Spring Stabilizer |
Definitely take a look at air bags. Firestone and AirLift are two well-regarded manufacturers. Less $ than adding or changing rear springs and it is a straight forward DIY install.

I dont' care what anyone wants to do with their truck, But airbags are not nearly as easy to install as the SS.
And when I buy a new truck this spring.... 2 bolts and they are off, and on the new truck. I think perhaps the best (and most expensive) air bag unit is this one: Pacbrake air springs and suspension kits, air bag suspension |
