New users at eBay get bombarded with requests to re register and verify information also. If you respond or follow any of their links they will hijack your account.

CompuServe and AOL accounts were real bad about that also.

My wife is a graphic artist...She has to use AOL because of imbedded images in some files she receives....only AOL can read the files.....you should see some of the AOL scams....lol

Only AOL can read the embedded images?

I am not sure which one AOL is using "at the moment" but they have been using IE and are moving to Netscape. So either browser should probably work. Otherwise all you need is a graphics conversion program and tell your system to use it to open those files. AOL doesn't have any special graphics capabilities.

Actually, AOL does have special graphic properties.
You can send pictures to other AOL members thru the email w/o "attaching" them
Only AOL can view them.
I can send the exact same email to myself on my cable internet, and the pictures doesn't show up.
It's weird, but thats how AOL works.

Still- tell the other users to attach images properly or link to the image and get rid of AOL.

Try EarthLink instead or use your cable company stuff.

I was just telling you Torque1st.
It's basically a "Idiot" feature for them. as it just inserts it into the mail.
I dont use AOL for that reason, I use my AOL for chatting with family, but I still get online thru my cable company and use Outlook
