What mud flaps are you putting on???

OK, my truck got here sooner than expected so now I need to get on the stick and order some mud flaps for it. What is everybody else putting on their trucks? Is anybody using Ford brand? If other than Ford where is the best price when you bought yours?

Does anybody know of a company that is making wheel to wheel nerf bars? If I can't find any of those then I'll need to order some Bully Steps so I can reach the handle on the 5er hitch. I seem to be too short on one end or the other to be able to reach it.

Also what floor mats are everybody using and are you happy with your choice? I want ones that contain water and protect the carpet. I was looking at Weathertech brand, any thoughts? If you bought some where did you find the best price?

I would go do some surfing but like I said the truck coming in so soon has caught me off guard and now I have to move fast and get things on order. We are getting nasty weather in Montana and I want to protect the truck. As soon as I get it today, it goes into the storage garage till I can get some of the things on it. An invisible bra, mud flaps, floor mats are the main ones. It is a King Ranch so it does nave running boards on it so that part can wait till later for the nerf bars.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Butch

I bought a set of Husky Liners (WeatherBeater front/rear and front/center piece). They fit great and look good (got from Amazon, part #'s 98711 & 83671), paid about ~$160 for both. You can kind of see them in the pic below. Since you have the King Ranch you won't need the front center hump piece but it may help someone else. Someone had asked for more pics of the floor mats, and I need to get on that but am at work when the sun is out, so it'll have to wait until Friday when I'm off. I also have a set of Amp steps that are going on this weekend and getting some Ziebart TLC next week (rust preventitive).

Since this really doesn't have anything to do with the 6.2, you probably would get more responses if this was moved to the general Super Duty forum...

We put on these from Husky Liners very pleased with them so far.

I put on the same husky liner brand as above, got em at streetside auto for like 37.95 shipped per set(front and back). I have no complaints. Just be prepared to take the rear wheels off to mount them.

Husky flaps here too. They look great and they are holding up very well in these bad rain storms we are having here in California. Very easy install and you dont have to drill the extra hole for the fronts.

My truck hasn't arrived yet but I ordered it with the stock Ford flaps. I hope they look decent and do the job. The pix flaps do look good.

I hear ya, with 4 kids, that flooring was going to get trashed quick so I made sure to have those on hand when the truck arrived! :-X22

I let mine sit near the heater for a couple days to loosen up back to their original form. The rear piece is folded in half in the box and the front center hump was a mangled mess. A couple days though and they straightened back out.

Thanks for all of the suggestions so it looks like the Husky floor mats and mudflaps it will be. Now just need to order them and wait for them to get to the frigid NW MT. Someone please send some sunshine and warmer weather, I'll pay for the shipping.:-X04 Global warming yea right, lets try ice age instead.

New on the truck.

2 years now on the truck.

Over all not a bad mud flap for keeping the debris off the truck, the front ones had a L shape piece to hold the flap towards the truck but I took those off as time went on the one side got loose in the area where the L held it to the body of the truck and started making a tapping sound when driving. Been on the truck for 2 years and 130k miles and still looking good. I would get these again for the truck, well made and thick.

...and some more DuraFlaps, everything Scraprat said
about them is correct. Basic flaps that come in many
styles.

The shot from the rear may look like the flaps
are uneven, but that is the camera angle.
Good product, you cannot go wrong with these...
