FTE Range Day

So who would be interested in an FTE range day?

Excursion4X4 12-22-2010 01:59 AM

Like shooting range?

MisterCMK 12-22-2010 06:56 AM

???

I would go but I have nothing to shoot at this time. Where were you thinking?

MisterCMK 12-22-2010 09:59 AM

The extra numbers were for the extra characters for the 10 minimum.

I've got stuff for ya to shoot, don't worry about that. I know there is Bills in Robbinsdale and Blaine, In-Range in Monticello and a few others.

DieselCamper01 12-22-2010 10:09 AM

Sounds good. Let me know when you are planning

mndiesel 12-22-2010 12:41 PM

I might go but I also do not own a firearm. Haven't shot since I was in the AF......

MisterCMK 12-22-2010 03:28 PM

I've got a few I can provide but I am not paying for your trigger happy finger ammo. :D

7283-F250 12-22-2010 03:45 PM

I know I'f a foreigner but this sounds like an interesting meet/event.

Do you guys do this outside or inside?

There is an inside range with rental guns in my area. Never been there but have been told it's pricy but fun. I still have to find out if I can use the 600magnum there. :-X03

MisterCMK 12-22-2010 04:26 PM

During the summer I like to shoot outside whenever possible. During the winter I go to the indoor range. I want to say it is around $30 for a shared lane rental. I haven't been to the indoor range since last winter. At Bill's I've been there when people rented the .50BMG and man does that thing make noise!!

HP junkie 12-22-2010 04:31 PM

Sounds like it might be possible (if I don't work).

dlibson 12-22-2010 05:48 PM

I'd be in. I have my little .25 to bring.

Ford79 12-22-2010 10:43 PM

Sounds like fun.

I have no pistols, only a 30-06 and 12 guage.

fordpower88 12-23-2010 08:24 AM

I don't have a gun either but depending on when it is I may be able to attend!

Tom 12-23-2010 12:08 PM

I'd love to come! I haven't had the chance to do any shooting in awhile.

Here's what I can bring:

Springfield XD .40
Ruger Mk III .22 target pistol w/ red dot sight
Hi-point .380
Mosin-Nagant 91-30 7.62x54
WASR-10 AK-47, 7.62x39

Anyone's welcome to shoot them, just bring some money for ammo!

Jbotto 12-24-2010 05:25 PM

Hey Chris! Sounds like an awesome Idea, No handguns here, but I have a few others to bring. Keep us updated!

MisterCMK 01-02-2011 05:37 PM

So what day would work for everyone and where should we go?

I'm a bit too new to the area to know of a good place. But pick a date and I should be able to make it work.

Ford79 01-02-2011 07:01 PM

Here are a few to look at.

Bill's Gun Shop & Range - Robbinsdale and Circle Pines, Minnesota Locations in Robbinsdale and Circle Pines

Inrange, LLC home page Located in Monticello

http://www.bvpistol.com/ Located in Burnsville

http://www.northbranchbullseye.com/ Located in North Branch

MisterCMK 01-02-2011 08:25 PM

Whatever you guys want. I've shot at Bills before and they have a nice enough place. Maybe something more on the east side for you guys (North Branch)?

Jbotto 01-03-2011 04:10 PM

Don't wait for me! The next time I'd be home would be around the first weekend of March I believe. Never shot at any of the places above mentioned, so I have no input to give on that either.

Jbotto 01-10-2011 08:39 PM

Chris do you have any dates planned or even being considered for this? I was thinking that if the 5th/6th of March would work or even the 12th/13th of March. I would be home in Lester Prairie those weekends and could possibly make an appearance! Just a thought. If those days don't work for anyone else, it's no biggie. Just putting it out there.

MisterCMK 01-13-2011 08:41 AM

The 5th or 6th of March works for me. How about everyone else?

HP junkie 01-13-2011 10:21 AM

I am off that weekend, so I'll look into it.

Skill_Kills 01-16-2011 02:08 PM

This sounds like fun, Im building an AR15 right now and could bring that once i get it done. That place in North Branch would work well for me.

Tom 01-16-2011 02:38 PM

The 5th or 6th in North Branch works great for me!

Jbotto 01-16-2011 05:50 PM

I think things are falling in place Chris! If I plan on the 5th or 6th, I can make it, no problem! North branch or Monticello are the vote for me~!

ranger pat 01-16-2011 08:02 PM

I might be up for a range day. I have a couple of older Dan Wesson's and lots of hand load wad cutters I need to use up. Depends on where, and when.

MisterCMK 01-17-2011 09:00 PM

Will the 5th or 6th work best for everyone?

Jbotto 01-18-2011 05:52 PM

March 6th would work best for me, depending on the weather and when I can get home for Spring Break. I am hoping I can go home on the fourth, but if bad roads/weather whatever get in the way, saturday would be my travel day.

dlibson 01-18-2011 06:47 PM

Sure Chris!

walt501 02-05-2011 03:26 PM

Hey I'm a shooter! If you don't mind I'd love to attend. I can bring a little of everything so if anyone would like to try out a particular firearm just let me know. I'll stay tuned here for updates.

Tom 03-17-2011 10:08 AM

So what happened to this? Never heard anything about it, and the 5th has come and gone.

Had I remembered I would have asked this two weeks ago...

Skill_Kills 05-16-2011 10:51 PM

anyone wanna give this a shot again? (pun intended) sometime after memorial day works for me

Jbotto 05-16-2011 11:44 PM

I don't know what happened to this, either. I'd be interested to give it another go...

Tom 05-17-2011 07:07 AM

I'd also like to try again.

I sold my XD .40 and bought a new Glock 19 Gen 4, I'd love some help breaking it in!

Jbotto 05-17-2011 11:01 PM

I believe we can help with that Tom! Those Glocks are great!!!! Why'd you sell your XD? ...if you don't mind me asking.

Tom 05-17-2011 11:21 PM

To pay for the Glock, of course! With my second child on the way I can't spend money like I used to...

I loved the .40, but more than once specific caliber I like to shoot frequently. And while the .40 is hardly an expensive caliber it's a good deal more than 9mm, so I decided I wanted a 9mm more than the .40.

The XD was a great gun, I don't think it ever malfunctioned while I had it. I expect the Glock to be just as good, if not better.

And the other reason was that I qualify for Glock's law enforcement purchase program because I'm in the military. So I got a killer deal on it, $469 for a brand new G19 Gen 4 with Trijicon sights. Just couldn't say no!

Jbotto 05-17-2011 11:27 PM

I hear ya on all that! Congrats on the good deal!

walt501 05-19-2011 05:39 AM

This is off topic so I apologize but for those interested in purchasing a new Glock I suggest you join the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation.

Glock Sport Shooting Foundation

The cost is $35 for the first year and $25 a year thereafter. Membership gets you the Glock annual magazine as well being able to take a Glock Armourer's course in your area along with various shooting competitions.

But the main benefit of being a member is being able to purchase one new Glock pistol per year at the military/law enforcement price. Also, purchases under this program come with 3 standard magazines instead of the usual 2.

I purchased a brand new Gen 3 Glock 19 last fall for $425! The reduced price more than covers the cost of GSSF membership, plus everyone buys a new Glock every year anyway, right? :D
