4.6 supercharger?

hey guys. im having some trouble finding a supercharger for my 2002 4.6 v8 f150. i have tried the search button but didnt find exactly what i am looking for. i would like to find a used kit with low miles. i have some questions before i get one.

1. will the 5.4 lower intake manifold fit on my 4.6. if so wouldnt a lightning supercharger work?
2. what other mods will i need for a supercharger. fuel pump, injectors, intake, ect. what brands? what size injectors?
3. any sites i can find good used superchargers?

thanks :-D

1. No
2. Yes. It all depends on how much power you want to make.
3. Shop around on the Ford sites for the best deal.

how much should i expect to lose in gas milage? will the 4.6 cobra supercharger work?

I dont know enough about the cobras to be of much help.
Are they 2V or 3V?
If there 2V you can make it work but you need to run an air inlet on the other side of the engine bay.
If there 3V you might be able to find adapters for the heads.

I seem to remember the cobras being 4v but I'll have to double check that.

This place sell adapters to go from 5.4 to a 4.6 intake-manifold. If they can make an adapter to go from your 4.6 to a 5.4 manifold , then you could use the Lightning setup.
Reichard Racing
Also this place may make the adapter you need to run a L blower.
Tork Tech Inc.

That depends on how you drive it. If you run it hard , your mileage will go down. If you drive normal , you'll get about the same. Sometimes even better.

I still get 15MPG on the highway. And I'm running 4.10 gears.

Is there any reason not to use the supercharger kit for the 4.6 Mustang? Because those are pretty easy to find. I'm just wondering because when I look under the hood of my truck it seems like the system from Vortech for the '05 4.6 Mustang would fit, and I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work.
