Yes they are. I toured the lower 48 back in 2000 (that's when I found the 62 Uni) and don't remember seeing any Merc's. If possible I am planing a trip through Canada this summer to look for one and to stop and see Moe. I'll be looking for an M-H around a 48 to 50.

Funny Panel Man. I got to drive to town right now for supply's. Three hours on bumpy logging roads. Hope the stitches hold.

Well I made the trip. Know where I can get a drivers seat for an 87 Ranger? Mines kinda crappy.

Why didn't I notice this thread until now?
I have a 52 M-1 that I inherited from my Dad. When he first acquired it (in 1980) is was also sporting a FORD tailgate. After years of searching he finally found a beat up Merc tailgate:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...id=235433&.jpg Lately I have been fooling with reflective tape and I have managed to make a nice pattern for cutting out reflective letters which I stuck to my tailgate. My truck is mostly original and I know that the reflective letters are not, but I figure that they are something of a safety enhancement. I would be delighted to share my patterns with anyone that would like them. I have also made patterns for reflectorizing the hood spears. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...id=195334&.jpg |

One of the biggest vintage truck collections I`ve ever seen. Usually his prices are not bad.
I`m less than a 70 miles away from him tho it`s a bit of a trip for you. Do you have any more pictures of your truck and of his place to share? |
To all of the Mercury owners does anyone know of where we can get new or reman M 100 chrome as well the other Merc emblems? Or of a wrecker that specializes in Merc stuff. I have a hood ornament that one of the other POs put on. It kind of resembles a plane. I got it rechromed OUCH.
