Well, we're all too old to be hangin' around college campuses or singles bars. I cant afford a corvette or gold chains, so I don't think I will get the wife mad at me.

I don't know though. Sometimes my wife will give me this really disgusted look and say what are you 12.

I agree with you. But some days I do feel my age. All the little aches and pains.

We have 1 bar and it's not a singles and no college. I can't afford the car or chains either. I spend my time puttering around on my trucks and at the wreckers when not working. My wife doesn't mind cause my time and money could be spent on far worse things. I would like to have a Shelby in place of the vette though.

Which half.

When I was in my 40's I bought a Camaro. I had people asking if it was my mid life crisis. I said no I could finally afford one and was responsible enough to not wrap it around a pole.

Steve GG 12-30-2010 12:14 AM

It is at least that and a convertible..26-28 mpg..

Steve GG 12-30-2010 12:15 AM

When I was in my 20's I had a 64 GTO and a 65 442.

Nice mileage. Been a while since I had anything that got that. I think my Camaro was awful close though. I think I could get about 25 on the highway if I kept things civil.

Once in a while, I will be out somewhere with my buddy, he is 49, divorced, and grayer than me.........He will see some hot, 20 something girl walk by and go "WHOA!".......I just tell him "Give it up buddy, your just a old, gray haired perv to her"......maybe her mother is still in circulation.

Bet you still wish you had them. I knew a guy that had a 442 he was redoing. I think it was a 70 something though. That's if they had 70 somethings.

That is pretty good mileage.. My 05 Montego would get around 30 on the highway. Loved that car.

I had a 69 Firebird 400 convertible as a kid.........too bad it was too expensive to keep running........girls liked it!
