Eliminating P0475 Code - EBPV sensor

Hey Guys!

Hope you're all having a good Friday! I pulled by turbo a few weeks back to change things up a little bit and I left my dang EBPV sensor plug hanging after deleting my EBPV with a delete pedestal. It was my understanding that this is supposed to leave a soft code by my CEL is on and I'm pulling P0475.

I've done a little research but I'm still not sure what the best course of action is at the moment. I'm hoping you a few of you can figure out my picture and point me in the right direction. I've been reading that simply plugging my EBPV sensor back in could potentially rob my turbo of oil, is that correct?

I saw a thread from a while back about this and Ronald put up some good pictures of some 470 ohm resisters. Can I simply stick that into the plug and call it good? I'd like to remove all codes including soft ones if possible. I'd also like to avoid that $40+ for a plug and some resistors if I can make it myself.

Thanks in advance! I'll be sure to post pictures of whatever I create after discussion.

Just put the resistor into the plug, bent like the pics I posted, and you'll be good to go. :) I bought one of those "eliminators" yrs ago and tested its resistance, then started fashioning my own for the AIH and wastegate solenoid for less than a $1.

Does the AIH delete have the same resistance 470 ohm? Thanks Roland. By the way, I referred to you as Ronald in my original post, my bad. Thanks for chiming in. :-down

I used 1/2 watt since they were readily available. No problems with them. 1 watt, if you can get them would be more preferred.

Is it weird that my CEL light was on for P0475? Isn't it supposed to be a soft code? I've already wiped my codes once and it comes back with a CEL light.

I'm on my way to pick up some resistors at Radio Shack. I'm sure they'll come in a pack of 10-25 so if anyone else needs some, PM me and I'll be happy to help a few people out with a first class stamp and some resistors.

Thanks for the help Roland! Reps man.

Radio Shack has packs of 5. They were $0.99 when I bought them last. I used 3. One each for EBPV solenoid, AIH, and WG solenoid deletes.

Used a 1/2 watt on mine, after a few drives cycles, the light is off and the code is gone :)
