The current course of action is to put the body on a dodge dakota chassis and I have a 90's 5.0/5-speed on hand (got the entire truck for $free-fiddy, hard to pass that up).

I'd love a coyote swap but $$$. Maybe someday in the future when my step-sis wrecks her shiny red '15 mustang :p

A little over its rating. 1925# over GVWR, 400# over RGAW
It just started touching the back part of the overload springs. It sat level. It was still under the tire ratings. But, I did exceed the factory ratings. That is something I'll have to pay better attention to. However, it road level and smooth.

i wouldnt worry about the ratings... all of fords trucks are under-rated for what they can handle..

I use them as a guideline for the longevity of the truck. I want to get it back into great condition and see how many mikes I can get out of it. I do pay attention to the tire loading as well as making sure I don't exceed my license plate rating. I had enough legal issues with my license in the past. I've seen quite a few temporary scales in the northern area of my state which I do frequent.

can understand that... ohio does it alot too.. same with VA when you get into the more rural areas..

I'm sure glad they don't salt the roads where I live.
