Sweet truck and trailer Chassisman, I love them both. Dang, that trailer is LONG, that thing must be interesting to tow to say the least.:D I don't think I've ever seen a Super Duty towing a trailer that long. Sweet setup there.:-X22

last super duty I saw hauling a load that huge was yesterday wish I had my camera out a dually super duty 05-07 with the 6.0L hauling a gooseneck trailer which on it had a rig not chained but literally on the trailer no trailer but that F350 dually was leaning big time the DPS officer behind him I think pulled him over because that was defiantly overweight. I think the rig was a Volvo one of the bigger sized ones.

I guess different trucks have different filler necks then ?!?
I've never had an issue on both my 2012 nor 2013 trucks
(and honestly don't remember ever having an issue on either of the 2002, 2003, or 2005 Excursions we loved and drove for many miles !)

was I just lucky stopping at the right pumps all those years ?!?

Heading out to go haul some fill dirt our first run (my dad drove the 02 with trailer I drove the 86 with the regular bed) don't know how much we got but a lot:

Trav, great pics, whats all the fill for

Redneckfordf2502002 05-28-2013 04:02 PM

we have a bunch of holes around the yard from clean up after the fire and the dirt we took out is very dirty so we got this dirt. Pretty soon suppose to go back for more. During that process we got a flat on the 02 and had to get the tire fixed and noticed we are going to need brakes for the 02 soon.

I got a utility trailer like that when we first built this house...
paid for itself in no time with landscaping, sod, etc... etc...

I bought some cheap 3/4 plywood and cut it down to make 2 foot tall sides all around so I could haul the rocks, dirt, mushroom compost, etc...
laid a tarp on the bottom and no loss on the way home !

but you're younger than me so you can keep doing that - I tired out :)

RedDevil460 05-28-2013 07:22 PM

Sweet pics Trav. Looks like you guys are keeping the trucks busy. Good luck with filling up those holes. And I just took a good look at the 86 and man I think that thing looks sweet, and is in pretty good shape. So are you going to repaint it eventually because I think that would really make it look awesome.:-X22

Redneckfordf2502002 05-29-2013 11:34 AM

jdadamsjr the trailer we paid $500 for in the shape it is 3 years ago used it since and definatly has paid off. Pretty soon we are going to repair the deck and do a little work on the fenders as both are shot. This thing has more then paid for itself I love that trailer.

Jon ya we have been keeping them busy no choice but to do that. When the house and garage are built yes the 86 will be repainted either the same color or midnight blue I kinda want to keep it the same color as with the roll bar (when I get it installed) it will look awesome. But we are considering other colors. The biggest problem with the clear coat is the truck has been in Arizona all its life and clear coat in Arizona sucks. I might send the 86 to the previous owner of the 02 to paint it as he is a painter and really good at it but I don't know how much he charges.

Yeah I was just wondering since the 86 looks really good and in pretty good shape except for the paint. So a new paint job would really set it off and make it look even better. I just really like the older trucks and love the look of them so I would love to see it in a "like new" condition.:-X22

It needs alot of body work Jon the bed I don't know if you can tell or not but is pushed in and up from my dad throwing the truck in 4x4 and flooring it with a bent car ramp under it. The tailgate is shot it works but barely and is opening in 2 pieces. The bumper needs some straightening I got it from a junkyard as I bent the crap out of the old one. It has some surface rust on the roof the inside of the bed is a little bent up but not to bad. I am going to take all that stupid black body side molding off and keep it chrome I hate that black rubber crap in it and most has fallen out. The front bumper is in great shape but has holes from the black rubber crap which we took off. Also needs a ford emblem on the grille and a few other emblems on the cab. But overall the truck is very straight and is pretty much rust free. We paid $2000 for it in 2010 and it has never let us down. I love that truck it needs a good tune up and exhaust system for running wise but that is it. Oh ya I just rembered the drivers side fender by the parking light is pushed in but I can fix that just haven't and don't want to take apart the truck yet. It is my dad's pride and joy when I ruined that rear bumper on that truck he was POed even though he gave me permission to do it. Long story if you want to here it PM me I also have pics.
