V10 + 4.88s + 15,000lbs = 4 mpg?? lol. i have to say, that sounds like a pretty sweet, bulletproof combo for a truck up there. how big are the fuel tanks on them?

Redneckfordf2502002 04-02-2013 11:57 AM

On our F250 we have a 36 or 38 gallon I think it is aftermarket too.

40 gallon aft axle stock ford fuel tanks.

i lied about the weight, the service bodies are only 12.5k per the local cat scale. the van bodies on the same f-550's were at 15k...pics of those tomorrow if i can.

Doing the things it likes.

" New one was supposed to be smaller. Nother story."

I have the same problem. Had a 24' turn into a 40'. First camper was a bumper bender. Then I bought my SuperDuty. Wife looks at my truck from across the camp fire and says, "Hey, does that mean we can get a fifth wheel? We should at least go look..." I knew going in what was about to happen...

Jigger2020 04-03-2013 08:13 AM

Bigger is better right Mike....... mines about as big as I need

SDElwood 04-03-2013 08:27 AM

Yeah, I don't need to go any bigger that's for sure. Funny thing is, we spend 90% of our camping time outside of the camper!

Jigger2020 04-03-2013 08:29 AM

Ya but its all about lookin good, lol

King-bRanch 04-03-2013 09:11 AM

Yeap that's how it works :-X04
Started w/a used 26 ft & by the next summer was pulling a brand new 31 ft.
The worst part is now i have this Copper/Beige truck & i really want a 2-tone Brown 5'er & the wife is hinting at going 34 ft if i get a Brown one :-X15

acf6 04-03-2013 09:49 AM

I would love to get a trailer to pull to all these diesel events I want to go to, and of course camping also. I have a b&w turnover but I don't think that'd help much lol..
