Actually Corey, I think you're off the hook for this one. Sean's coming over tonight to help me piece it together. If I have time anyway, its been a pretty busy week so far.

Matts72 11-16-2010 01:00 PM

Sean Connery?

jredline1984 11-16-2010 01:50 PM

I wish... my Sean will have to do though.

jredline1984 11-16-2010 03:39 PM

When did you get your own Sean? Your not hiring illegals again are you?

TrucksR4Chicks 11-16-2010 03:42 PM

He's not really MY Sean, he's his own Sean. And you met him at Machinery Row the last time we were there.

jredline1984 11-16-2010 11:45 PM

I met around five different guys you know, geez you get around....lol

OOOh. Thats payback for saying "that boy gets around" about me Brit! haha

TrucksR4Chicks 11-17-2010 01:54 PM

HAHa! Touche' Bryce, looks like Corey's got your back!

jredline1984 11-19-2010 10:28 AM

Dropped the transfer case on the '79. The other TC I bought for it has different yokes and splines. At least now I know the difference between a NP203 from a 76 vs a 79.

jredline1984 11-21-2010 01:20 AM

Bought a cheapo set of floor mats and some new Bridgestone A/T for the '07, she gets around soooooooo much better now and the steering wheel no longer jerks to the right.

I know that there is a similar thread in each model's repective sections, but I figured that the Montana Chapter could use one so here it goes:

I recently rebuilt the 351M out of my truck and reinstalled it. Also put in a new seat, ignition switch and tumbler, rebuilt front cv and rear drive shafts, new steering gear box, and new radiator. Im sure I forgot something but more to follow....:-tap

I think I need to do the same thing. I have like three inches of play in my steering wheel, and the other day when I slowed down to turn into my driveway, I got what they call the death wabbles. My truck was shacking so bad, I thought I was gonna break the studs off the axles. I need a steering box, and everything that has to do with the front steering. I have a 79, but with a modified 400. Has almost 4000 miles on it now. I have to pull the tranny at some point, and braze a new ear on the tranny, and get it rebuilt. I have some Hts2000 brazing rod for building up a new ear, and gonna get a transgo rebuild kit.

jredline1984 11-21-2010 02:21 PM

After I replaced the track bar bushings, steering gear, power steering pump, and associated lines the ol girl drove like a new vehicle. I would highly recommend it.

Matts72 11-23-2010 09:09 PM

Anybody else notice he rammed the truck with the Kubota? :D

Good work!

im2tall33 11-23-2010 10:51 PM

Nice eye there...lol that dent is actually from the previous owner.. I have yet to dent it...the day will come when that happens

jredline1984 11-28-2010 12:38 PM

Postman dropped this off for me last night:

sledheadm7 12-04-2010 03:43 PM

i like the new grill!!

jredline1984 12-04-2010 03:48 PM

Hey thanks, only problem now is that it didn't come with any mounting brackets! :-huh

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 08:46 AM

weak. Did you get the brackets yet corey?

jredline1984 12-06-2010 08:47 AM

Not yet, sent the guy an email and now I get to play the waiting game.

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 08:55 AM

I've been playing the waiting game for my driving lights and my pyro gauge for weeks and weeks now. I feel your pain.

jredline1984 12-06-2010 09:09 AM

That gives me so much hope, lol.

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 09:20 AM

haha glad I could help. All the mail carriers come here mid day. There was nobody in the office to receive mail on Friday so hopefully both packages come today. I've never installed gauges before. Anyone in the area want to help?

jredline1984 12-06-2010 09:26 AM

Ah, gauges aren't too bad. Does the pyrometer come with a pillar mount? Most difficult part of the install should be tapping the exhaust for the sensor, lol.

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 09:53 AM

I already have the pillar mount = ). see
https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...id=236779&.jpg
Even painted it perfect to match.
And that is true. I know that there are good directions for install too. I should be alright.

jredline1984 12-06-2010 10:01 AM

Yeah, you definitely need to get the gauge installed, lol. If need be, I can swing on down to Zootown before you head back to WA, I have family down their I have been meaning to visit.

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 10:18 AM

That would be awesome. I'm sure I could do it myself but it'd be a good excuse to get a beer and finally see your dumb ass in person haha . Just playin bud. And its a win win if you have family here too. I think I'll need one of those gauge hole covers too. I had a link for one a while ago. it was black with the chrome rim which would look perfect with the gauge that I'm getting:

No, Im a smart ass, lol. That would set off the interior nicely!

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 10:35 AM

Haha yes it would. I'll get the trans temp one down the road for the other gauge slot. Then eventually get another gauge mount for behind the steering wheel off to either side. for boost etc.

jredline1984 12-06-2010 10:36 AM

It's going to make the truck look even sharper, keep up the nice work!

im2tall33 12-06-2010 11:27 AM

i took my side steps off this weekend and palyed around in the snow up in the mountains and built some tire chains

jredline1984 12-06-2010 11:29 AM

Congrats on the chains! It makes things easier.

im2tall33 12-06-2010 11:34 AM

for sure.. hope i dont need them though lol

jredline1984 12-06-2010 02:01 PM

PITA puttin' them on when you are offroading if you don't do it beforehand

im2tall33 12-06-2010 02:02 PM

i know i have been there done that a few times lol

Spool&Go 12-06-2010 02:26 PM

I have yet to need to put chains on any of my trucks so far. But that might change soon by looking at the tread on my tires. I need new ones but the ones I want are $1600 of rubber. Not to mention I'll be stepping up to the 18" wheel which are $150 a piece. A whopping $2200 bill on those. So they will have to wait for a while. Unless anyone knows someone who has some nice black (or black with some chrome) 18" Wheels they are trying to sell/trade.

im2tall33 12-06-2010 02:30 PM

craigslist man.. thats all i can say..
