Hi Everyone. I was born and raised in So Cal, spent a short 4 yrs in the Air Force and am now relocated to Apple Valley. Enjoy Camping at the Dunes, Beach or anywhere else a good time can be had. Tow a 34ft 5th Wheel Toy Hauler. Also love Hunting and Off-Road riding. Glad to be a chapter member.

What kind of hunting do you like to do?

MHammer21 11-01-2010 09:59 AM

Last few years it has just been Dove & Quail. Trying to find a guide for some Chukar that is reasonably priced. have also done some Wild Hog Hunting while I was stationed in Georgia. Love fishing and anything else that keeps me outdoors.

If you find a reasonably priced Chuckar hunt I'd love to know about it. I owe those birds some revenge for making me look bad.

Was out riding this last weekend in Stoddard Valley and spooked up 10-15 of em. Went after them just to check them out and poof, they dissapeared. Did see a group of quail (laargest i have ever seen) up the canyon though. may look into seeing if it is legal to hunt up there...:-X01

Should be, if it's not in the OHV area

Welcome, I am new here as well to the Chapter. I am located in Antelope Valley

MHammer21 11-01-2010 12:08 PM

Not sure about the boundries of the OHV Area, no posted signs or anything, just wide open desert as far as you can see. I have seen/heard people shooting up there for recreation, just never seen any hunters not on privatly owned land.

It sure would be worth it to find out...that beats having to drive 5 or 6 hours to find any birds.
