Will Chevy 8 on 6.5" rims fit Ford with 8 on 6.5"?
Title says it all.

Bolt pattern is the same hub size is not! They will not fit over the rear hubs.
|
Yeah, he's right, won't go over the rear hubs. I have 4 sets of tires on Chevy rims that I can't use. Some of them won't go over the front hubs either....
It works the other way around though, the ford rims will go on a chev no problem. G. |
Mine do...
The wheels I just bought came off an 8-lug Chevy. And just to make sure again, I just went and measured them. Chebby rims measured 5 1/8" in the center, the chrome wagon wheels on my truck now are about 5". They should fit...but you know how Government Motors can be with one-off crap. |
So basically, the modern Chevy wheels will fit is they have at least a 5.25" center hole.
|
Chevy, and Dodge 3/4 tons share the same hub diameter along with bigger studs.
Ford has a bigger center hub, but smaller studs. |
Good to know!
Learn something new everyday. I need prettier wheels for my old girl. Hers are rusty and pitted.
