3 day holiday, so peeps are elsewhere.

We stayed home, cuz as noted in my signature, the wife bought a new Edge on Saturday.

She has only driven it 20 miles, but I can tell you she prefers it over the 2005 Nissan Murano she got rid of, the 2009 Murano (which is even fuglier than the 2005 she had), the Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Sienna and Highlander, Honda Pilot, CRV and Odyssey, Subaru Tribeca. We didn't bother looking at anything from GM or Chrysler.

These were the vehicles we've spent the last coupla of weekends evaluating and she's not a brand loyal person. She'll get what she wants..at least when it comes to vehicles. :)

This Edge is the SEL model with the two sunroofs, leather, SYNC, power up/down rear hatch, the whole ball of wax. MSRP was $32,090.00 +T&L, but she didn't pay anywhere near that.

I'm lurking, but busy with all the stuff that piled up after a 4 day weekend. But don't worry, I won't let work interfere with this critical social intercourse.

Steve is hunting, but will probably be checking in sometime today.

I went yesterday. Had fun, few birds in the bag, better than working. Extremely humid - it had rained some during the previous week, including quite a bit on Sunday morning. I got out of the truck, it was 80°F at 0400 hours, and my spectacles immediately fogged up. Pulled my gun and it started sweating to the point of dripping. This is NOT normal for the southern Imperial County - and Doves don't like it one bit.

That would be different. I've never hunted birds when it's hot. It's usually pretty cool, to down right cold when I get out in November here.
