June 2011 is declared BS month in Indiana...that's Begin Summer with the Summer Solstice!!!
Welcome to JUNE Indiana and all of our IN friends!!!
Can you folks believe we're already in JUNE?!?!?!? Where is this year going to... Although hopefully the 90 degree temps we've been having are NOT an indication of what is to come for the rest of the summer...at least I HOPE not! Welcome to our little chapter and have fun posting all your tall BS tales and anything else you wish to post (within forum rules of course! :-X22) Have at it folks... Joe. |
Good Morning Indiana! :)
Happy Hump Day and June 1st! :D |
Joe, you can come over to Jersey for a visit too!
You are right...I do every so often...I just canNOT keep up with all the BS that flies around your chapter though...I thought Nebraska was bad...but Jersey is KING of BS! LOL
Yes we are...lol
Good morning Indiana, welcome to June! Ahhhh....My time of year has arrived!

Afternoon everybody

Good evening Indiana! It's June, it's hot, I like it. Have a great thirsty Thursday everyone.
Good morning all! Time for me to go to bed. :)
Good Morning Indiana! :)
Happy Thursday! :D |
Good morning and have a terrific thirsty Thursday Indiana
Good morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!
Gonna be a busy day here today with a big NASA meeting that I have out in SoCal...hopefully all goes well...I don't anticipate any issues...but one never knows! Have a great day everyone. Joe. |
Good morning Indiana, welcome to Pat's Friday! Things are getting interesting here, with the water getting higher and higher....
Good luck Pat...how high are they predicting and how many homes are they thinking will be impacted?
A lot of the smaller towns near the river are being evacuated entirely. Here's the kicker: This isn't going to be a short deal, where the water hangs around for a week or so. They are saying it could be this high FOR A MONTH OR MORE! Some towns will have anywhere from 6-10 feet of water covering them. Omaha shouldn't be affected all that much. But the smaller towns along the river will. And, we are going to stay shutdown until the water recedes.
Oh my Pat, that's a lot of water for a long time. Hopefully everyone is as prepared as they can be.
just a quick wag-by, have a great day folks!!!:-wink |
Morning Wag. It's going to be a HUGE mess, that's for sure. Have a good day bud!
Holy cow!!!...that is amazing...sorry to hear it...prayers your way for all those affected...it is hard to imagine all you've worked for going under water like that in a blink of an eye...
I remember back in June of 2008 when we were traveling home thru St. Louis and stopped at the arch and the Miss. river was well over her banks then...it was a sight to see as a tourist but crippling for those affected... Flooding is always one of those things that are hard to predict... Fort Wayne used to flood all the time with the meeting of Three Rivers...but thankfully over the years the Corp of Engineers and the city have built up dykes and really reduced the flooding risk in town...but it took YEARS of work and many tax payer $$$ spent... Good luck my friend...hopefully YOU are NOT affected (other than the plant shut down) Joe. |
Thanks bud. Our home won't be affected, so I'm thankful for that. The thing that really concerns me is the length of time the water will be up. This could go on for months. Houses will be totally destroyed. There won't be any gutting the drywall and insulation and starting over. They will have to destroy the homes and start over. It's just so damn sad.
Hopefully insurance covers it for people...if you aren't in a "flood" zone and don't have "flood" insurance...does homeowners insurance cover this type of loss?...makes you wonder (and scared)...
No, it doesn't. And, from what the news is saying, a lot of people live in areas just recently redesignated flood plains, and they haven't gotten flood insurance. They'll have no coverage. They will have to rely on federal aid.
In a flood zone and no flood insurance=nothing, when you apply for insurance they know where the flood zones are and if you are in it, it's a policy provided by FEMA National Flood Insurance, you can go to the site to check your area!
Morning all ,
Good morning Indiana! So are the rest of the months of the year unofficial bs months? Just wondering as the only thing productive I usually see going on here is more bs :D
Good evening Indiana! Hot and humid tomorrow here, suppose the same for Indiana also. Everyone have a great Friday and if you sweat,it's your fault.
Good Morning All! :)
Happy TGIF! :D |
Good morning and have a fantastic Friday Indiana

Have a great day all!!!:-wink |
Morning Wag!
at least the temps have dropped enough to be comfortable out this way! |
Morning all
Good morning! Supposed to be near 90 here in the NW corner of the state. Hope it is about 10 degrees shy of that.....
Afternoon everyone!
Well I just landed in Detroit...one more flight until I'm home! Gonna only be home tonight and tomorrow night and fly back on Sunday...it's all good though...it pays the bills! I'm going to be meeting Tracey at a flooring place...the girls rooms carpets need changed out...the carpet is as old as our house...15 years...so instead of carpet I'm going to install 750 sq. ft. of 3/4" hardwood flooring in the upstairs...both of their bedrooms, the hallway and the guest room are up there (our bedroom is on the first floor)...for what I'll have in carpet...I can do the labor myself and install the flooring...although I also have to buy shoe molding too and stain and seal it...but this flooring will last as long as the house lasts...should help resale eventually...although I'm not looking forward to swinging the hammer that many times! LOL How is everyone doing today? Just enjoying a glass of red wine in the club while I'm waiting on the next flight. Oh yeah...I've hit everyone that has participated in our chapter BS thread with some forum love (reps)...as promised. Joe. |
Good evening eveyone. Off to the shop to work on my 91 shortly. Grad partys all weekend so I probably wont be in much. Hope you all have a good weekend. Its almost 5:00 oh wait its always 5:00 somewhare.
Good evening Indiana! Did everyone get hot today? Joe you need a flooring nailer, to take the pain out of it. I am surprised the Nebraska crew didn't lay that floor when they were there while your family was in Hawaii. Everyone have a great weekend.
Good Saturday morning Indiana and all of our IN friends!!!
Looks to be a beautiful day here today...a "slight" chance of some precip but very slight. I've got the windows open and there is a beautiful breeze blowing thru the house and I haven't even turned on the whole house fan yet! We've got 2 graduation parties later today...it is that season! I got home last night and met Tracey at the flooring place...picked up 800 sq. ft. of the flooring (33 boxes) and loaded it in the back of the Ex. This flooring is for the upstairs 3 bedrroms and hallway and closets...taking out ALL the carpet up there... http://inlinethumb18.webshots.com/40...600x600Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb23.webshots.com/47...600x600Q85.jpg Then when we got home we laid some of the flooring out downstairs next to the flooring there (color match)...when we built the house I laid 1000 sq. ft. downstairs of the 3/4" x 2 1/4" solid oak flooring...well now is the time to lay that flooring in the great room and this flooring is a very close match color wise...we'll never get a "perfect" match today after 15 years of sun and wear...but this new stuff is very close so I think I am going back this morning for another 18 boxes...I'm gonna have a BUSY time installing 1200 ft. sq. of this stuff. and Rick you are right...you would think the braska crew would have done this?...hmmmm...I wonder if they had another agenda? Well I hope everyone has a great weekend...I'm only home last night and tonight and am flying out tomorrow afternoon again...I did get the grass cut last night as well as hump all 33 boxes of that very HEAVY flooring UPSTAIRS last night!!! I did a calculation...each box weighs 62#'s and I hauled 33 boxes for a total of over 2000#'s of flooring in the truck last night and another 1200#'s today!!! Have a great one everyone, Joe. |
Good Morning.
Happy Saturday |
Good morning and have a great Saturday Indiana. Good luck with the flooring Joe.
