I'm in west little rock. I'll post tomorrow some after I clean the interior. It's extreme dusty from work.

You should go into the user control panel, link in the upper left, and add your location. That way we can remember. And when the option of setting up a signature opens up add the info about your truck. It helps us help you.

Going to stop after work and pick up a new air filter. Started thinking last night that I dont remember the last time the filter was changed. Wondering if that could be part of my miss at idle. Engine never used to miss but once in a blue moon but the tach would never move when it miss. Tach actually drops when it misses now so I will be doing that later tonight.

I made a minor adjustment to the steering on the truck. Turned the steering shaft a couple of splines to get the steering wheel a bit straighter.

I also worked on the wife's Pacifica. I replaced the lower control arms last week, today it was struts and torsion bar links. The left strut was in bad shape, let's hope this get's rid of the 'Clunk'. I won't know until tomorrow when I can get it out and drive it.

Here's hoping.

I fixed my squealing PS belt issue. I'm happy, happy, happy.

Re tensioned the alternator belt after a 13 mile break in. Didn't break my nose this time either lol. Re adjusted the steering box, checked the oil. Put some more velcro in spots under the dash mat. Just the little things left now.

Installed the aftermarket temp gauge in Rusty, and got the volt meter and oil pressure gauge ready to go in. But I'm not sure what I'm going to do for gauge illumination as I seem to have lost the ones that came with the gauges. Still noodling on that.

I was AT the salvage yard looking for rear ends just walking around and was wondering if any of you guys know what years are interchangeable for the whole rear end not just the gears. I am looking for a limited slip that isn't to wore out to put behind my 1982 F100 with a 302. I don't know a lot about rear end but I know a lil.

Any 9" should do. Double check the gear ratio. BUT it has been noted that the F100's used a smaller bolt circle than the F150's. I think it's the 5 on 4&1/2" instead of 5 on 5&1/2". So a car would most likely have that. Granadas, Stangs, Mav's, etc. LTD PI would be best choice.

Gary Lewis 10-01-2014 09:30 PM

Not all F100's had the smaller bolt pattern. You should determine what bolt pattern you have.

ArdWrknTrk 10-01-2014 09:34 PM

If it is indeed, a Lincoln Versailles would get you 9" LS and disc brakes. :D

Ratios tend to be extremely high (low) though

Four.on.the.floor 10-01-2014 09:38 PM

I'm sorry but what do you mean the ratios are extremely high low ?

Four.on.the.floor 10-01-2014 09:39 PM

I will check tomorrow on the width of the bolt. Let's say it's a 5 on 51/2 what year can I go up to on a rear end that will just bolt on.

ArdWrknTrk 10-01-2014 09:40 PM

Most trucks don't come with 2.73's or 2.47's....
the lowest Granada/Versailles/Monarch rear available was 3.0:1

High gear ratio, numerically low.
More for highway, not acceleration

I forget how they were optioned out.
I could look into it.

Four.on.the.floor 10-01-2014 09:48 PM

Oh alright. Well I won't buy one tomorrow but I will take pictures at the salvage yard and I will measure and take pictures of my drive shaft and pumpkin.
