Morning bs'rs!
While traveling home yesterday I was honored to witness something I have never witnessed before. On our flight from LAX (which originated in Honolulu) there was a sailor who was escorting the remains of his officer home. After I deplaned I was able to witness the officers flag draped casket being taken from the plane and into a hearst by 6 sailors. It was very somber to witness this. While watching I said a few prayers for the officer, his or her family and all the brave men and women who have sacrificed everything for our freedom as well as those currently serving today so we can continue to enjoy our freedoms. Please keep this sailor and their family in your thoughts today if you can. Joe. |
