Any thoughts on this rear? I need to replace the front seal and I would like to identify the seal number I need before tearing into it.

Thanks,

I have used this site to help identify diffs:
https://www.differentials.com/techni...dentification/
maybe they can help you

That appears to be all light duty stuff from Toyotas, F150s, maybe up to F350.

I can see the PDF, I have looked it over and none of the number I am finding match up. I looked on the axle tubes front and back and cannot see any numbers.

Serving suggestion: Pull the yoke and front of the diff to the point you can get to the seal. Look for numbers and search by those.

Some risk there, but otherwise you have a road oiler.

How old is this truck?
I'll try my luck, I'm an old econoline guy, but NumberDummy knows all...
If you go by 1972 numbers
Wheel Base 189" , f-600 series truck,390-2v-8cyl engine, made at Kentucky plant, paint color Medium Bright Aqua & Lt Blue, Chassy cab ,Transmission newprocess 435-4speed,of course 23,000GVW,the DSO is the district special order code, I can't find and axle code for "E34"
that's the best I can do with it

Yea, that is kind of where we are at now. Going to try and pull the yoke this weekend.

Thanks,
Ryan

I'm new to this forum, but after reading through the messages it appears to me that NumberDummy has most if not all the answers, so I'm wondering if you would be so kind as to tell me what you can about this truck from decoding the VIN??? We are trying to find parts for it but everything we order is not right, leading us to believe the information we have is incorrect. Any help would be appreciated.

You may not have to take the whole thing apart. The top cover comes off, and I'm pretty sure your can get a thorough visual tour of the entire transmission with that cover off. You might have a removable panel in the floor of your cab. This is an expanded view of the trans.

The speedometer DRIVEN gear is located at the end of the cable in the trans. The speedometer cable housing has a bracket that attaches to the side of the trans w/a bolt.

The DRIVEN gear attaches to the cable with a clip.

Numbers Dummy.
Any chance you'd have part numbers for the metal coolant pipes on a 63 SD engine in a C850. Mainly the one that goes between the coolant reservoir and the engine, as well as the one between the engine and upper radiator.

The ones for my reservoir is rough and the one for the rad has some weird fitting that looks to have been brazed in by a crosseyed howler monkey.
Sadly both are among the few things from my parts truck. I know I could just use a long flexible hose but I figured I'd see if someone is sitting on an old one anywhere first.

I'm going through the cooling system and so far everything looks good but those two.

Pic: Type the basic part numbers you need and I'll get the complete part numbers and see if anyone has them.
