Brought this home today. This is what $500 buys you in eastern Canada! Body rotten and sitting on frame, frame thin behind rear axle, good running gear though

thats great I only found one in eastern Canada was a little better but not much for over double that. And my dad just brought his old one west and the frame is broken in half.

New 33x12.50x15 BFG KM3's. I think I have about 2" of lift, don't really know as the previous owner cobbled together some leaf springs and not clear how big the coils are up front. Plan is to get 2 inch leveling springs, 3.5 inch leafs and lose the rear factory block.

I hadn't noticed that either. And you know what that means - that either the transmission-arm assembly is different, or/and the wiper motor spins in the opposite direction.

New ps and alt. belts.

Finished welding in passenger side floor pan. My son did the welding. Pretty good for a 14 y.o. I did the marking and cutting, hence the gap at the firewall side.:-arrgh Had to weld in some patches for the patches.

When we do the drivers side I'll make sure I cut the hole smaller than the patch. Newbie mistake. On my part.

Might sound stupid but finally after doing this and that.....I installed my new glove box liner! I have a glove box again!:)

As well as I got the truck back 2 weeks ago from my body guy and mechanic (for work that I cannot do). Body guy didn't paint the inside of the doors up high enough. When I went to put the door panels on...it was like bummer! So back to paint guy. Mechanic had to do some repair work to the rear axle that he goofed up on. He stands behind his work so he took care of it.

Vacuum Canister Win

After replacing the original heater core and blower a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to get the duct controls in my factory A/C truck working. The original "soup" can was log gone from the inner fender, but when I bought the truck I found this round thing behind the seat. Using these forums, I located a digram of the vacuum line routing and I discovered one of the original lines from the firewall tucked in behind my brake booster. I bought $4 worth of vacuum line and connected it to a plugged port on the vacuum manifold behind the carb and it worked! I now have all of the controls working.

Just when I think I'm sold on a solid color... you have to go and post this. I'm torn between blue or blue and white. Great looking truck!
