Taking it to wally world for an oil change? I'd rather just pull the drain plug and start it up and get it done early than do that!

Haters gonna hate.

Wally World still sells Rotella by the gallon and Motorcraft filters cheap. :D

JMHO, I wouldn't give the keys to him again.

Are you married? Cause dude, you don't just marry a girl, you marry her family too. But you have a good point, I don't have to take care of him so much. He joined the Army and just spent a couple months fighting in Afghanistan. So hopefully that made him grow up a little.

Convenience aside, taking it to WW means he's budget-conscious, that's a good thing, I guess.

The entire story isn't known ahead of time to the rest of us, and people tend to attach their own attitudes and values to a situation they envision in their heads based on your description.

I see your point, do what you want, but I still don't think he is to blame.

Just my opinion.

uhhh. Yeah he didn't do the actual stripping of the plug, but his laziness set forth the sequence of events that caused it. But I don't care now, no harm no foul. Gary had an extra plug and the pan threads were good.

With family its a little different for me IMHO, I forgive and forget and keep helping them anyways. Some family members I have on my side would be in a ditch dead, or stoned under a bridge starving right now if me and my father would have just "wised up" and stopped helping them. Sometimes you have to be the bigger man and get taken advantage of. Some people do eventually come around.

There's a fine line between support and enabling in many cases.
Everyone is entitled to set their own limits.
After a while I can't be bothered to 'help' someone who won't help themselves.

This is true, and that line you speak of tends to move depending on the situation. The line for a stranger would be set firmly in place and clearly defined, but for a brother or sister it would be more vague. Lets stop talking about this before it segues into politics lol. ;)
