Took the Ex and the kids to Yosemite area. This is in an area just before the south enterance of Yosemite. Did some minor trails and unfortunately scratched up the truck pretty good. Hopefully it will buff out.

Very nice pic, Yosemite is quite beautiful. I'm sure you'll get the Ex cleaned up and looking new again. Small world, I noticed you are from Fullerton, I bought my used Excursion at Fullerton Auto Square off Commonwealth just a couple of weeks ago.

Used almost an entire can of A/C foaming cleaner on the condenser, sprayed it clean and then tried to straighten out some of the fins. Not sure if it is a placebo effect, but it does seem to cool a little better. I've got other issues to work on for proper A/C performance.

Had wheels/tires balanced on the truck. I think this is how the Flinstones did it!!
But it worked, no more vibrations.

Thanks, made it safe and sound. The new V codes rode like a dream, pull the trailer so much nicer too.

Changed the oil and greased all the grease fittings today. Started to wire Ex for the installation of my CB Radio. Had to solder up a new cable for the antenna. Going to run power to the radio and amp in the morning.

Fixed the overhead display. With all props to FTE.

Found two 680 chips loose.

simplyrob 07-30-2011 01:30 PM

My readout displays Miles to Empty OK. The AVG miles per gallon always displays 9.6 no matter what. Is it possible one of my chips are loose too?
