I also have a pesky valve tic. Can you tell me what you mean by clogged valve stem? Thanks for any help.

I'm not the mechanic my neighbor is but he took the bolt off the top of the valve that didn't have oil flow he than removed the rocker and pulled the valve stem or rod, I'm not sure what the proper name for it is, but oil seemed to flow through the other 7 onto the rocker and than down onto the head. So he cleaned the one that was clogged and presto the oil started to flow. That's my non-mechanic explanation.

Replaced my temperature sending unit and the temp gauge works! Surprised and excited to have all my original gauges working now.

Went down to the transmission shop and looked at my C6 sitting on the workbench. Much smaller on the bench than it looks in all the pictures. Lighter too. Almost makes me wish I'd done the rebuild myself...almost

The truck was up on the lift, and I walked around under it looking at stuff. Then I remembered another reason I didn't tackle this myself-I don't have a lift...yet...

Brought this baby home! It was in the work shop at a "parting out" business. I found it online and they had the price marked as "negotiable." After chatting to see what all was included, I asked if they would take $50 bucks for it. Almost immediately he said yes ... I got worried. I drove 2 hours, waited and hour cause he got stuck in traffic. I looked it over and couldn't believe he only wanted $50! And I don't even what the trim, so I get to part that out and make some money back, WIN WIN!https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...c1d804eee0.jpg

I purchased some new radius arm bushings. For some reason they are just sitting here on my desk instead of installed in the truck :(

Maybe the gnomes will come tonight and install them while you're sleeping...

New headlight switch and phone holder. Now my headlights work and I have a place to put my phone when I'm driving.https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...78ec22156a.jpg

What kind of difference did it Make? I thought about getting one for my SCS.

Best way to describe it...It has some manners now on the highway...These trucks can over steer easily compared to today's rigs.....It slightly firmed up the feel on the road. This truck never had it but it always will now.

I put a double stabilizer on my 67 Bronco 10 years ago to help the bump steer..and it works well so why not on the 2wd CS.....80 bucks and 15 minutes install time well spent! After market kit from Moog.
