Put on two new wheel cylinders and their lines to the junction block on the axle.
Both of my old cylinders had their rearmost pistons seized in the bore. The line fitting wouldn't come loose from the driver side cylinder, so I broke off the line, so as to be able to finagle the cylinder out without removing any shoes. (I did remove one spring.) The passenger side fitting was seized to its line, but I had that side all the way apart, and was able to fish the cylinder and line out through the backing plate. Then I bled them out - after realizing that my O'Reilly wheel cylinders have 10mm bleeders and not 3/8"! |

What I did to my truck today:)
Pulled the instrument cluster on my 76 f150 found the backing plate crumbling. Pulled the cluster on my parts truck but found out the backing plate for the guage cluster and the light cluster are differen :( so I umm switched the speedometers and gorilla taped the original cluster back until I can get to the boneyard to find a new one. Speedometer works but is way off so figure I'm going for the whole cluster at the junkyard:/

I drove Ka'Bluey to a buddy's house to help him with some body work, then had a flat in the yard.
Not a better place for a flat though. Unk Bob:-jammin |

New spark plugs and header work
:oval https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...6661853b35.jpgI love the look of new spark plugs wires
So I noticed my truck was sounding a bit louder.so I got under neath and found wherehttps://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...ab2495707a.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...6a5976e1c5.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...77f8ce1f7a.jpg my headers connect to the exhaust was rusting out. So I asked a guy at work if he thought he could fix it and he told me to try some liquid steel. So I looked into it and thought I give it a try. Has anyone ever used this before?looks like a waste of time but I'm giving it a try. |

so with that homemade body lift and homemade suspension lift that previous owner just hated spending money.... |
Nice
Hey DJ I put those headers on my rebuild, black ones, wasn't too bad a fit, did notice the PS will separate if need be to get around the motor mount and or give you a little more wiggle room for a good fit. Also there were pre punched dimples in between the flanges where you can separate the pipes (sawzall) to give some more leverage for fitment. PS went on pretty smoothly, the DS however turned into a PITA with the front two pipes (closest to radiator). There's a bend that sits on the motor mount tower and she needed some convincing, separated flanges and a ratchet strap did the trick :D.... that was on a 76 f250 4x4 and replaced identical headers from god knows what year..... and slightly longer header bolts for the pipe that the dip stick attaches too.......They sound and breath great and they are very affordable..... :oval

ok, good to know. I was a little worried that I'd have some problems because the page on summit was a little vague and I've heard of people having problems with 4x4 trucks so it's good to hear that Its worked out for someone. |
