Oil change and greased every grease zirt I could find. Then washed all the nasty dirt and salt off of her. Took the windshield wiper arms off to polish them for *****s and giggles.

slider

for valentines day my wife and I got out of town last weekend. She went roaming thru craft shops as did I. Yup, you guessed it, the junk yard. I scored a slider with gasket out of an 86, temp sensor and ecm for her 2000 Jimmy for $69.
Yesterday I replaced the broken latch on the slider and swapped it in. |
sleeper

I acquired an old pick up sleeper a few months back and have been picking at it for a while. The plan is to have a place for the dogs to ride and not loose bed space, plus I have always liked kidnappers.
This one was intended to fit a late model Chevy but i will be able to make it work. I will need to add spacers underneath to align the rooflines and rework the window opening at the cab. I thought about cutting the front loose and reglassing it to match the cab angle but i just need it out of the garage right now. A 2x4 brings it up to the correct height so I'll make a frame for it to sit on and help with the anchoring to the bed too. And the supervisor had to check to see what I was doing to her truck. |
I installed a new steering wheel wrap. Cracks kept catching on my wedding ring plus they were just annoying. I also fixed the horn button itself. It was pulling away at both ends.

Cleaned out the tow tray:

Replaced the drive shaft carrier bearing, no more rattling, woohoo!!! Also found a new way to pull the carrier bearing since I have broken quite a few 3 jaw pullers getting them off. Use a OTC heavy duty pitman arm puller, works awesome.
