Yep he painted them with Gloss black rattle can no problems. He probably would if you brought it here and gave him a little money. LOL. My dad loves to paint he has been rattle canning most of his life.

Texas rebel I believe they are bushwacker or Lund flares not sure. I do know that only bushwacker now sells for 87-91 fords.

I like amazon. I get alot of stuff from there. Ebay is another story. I only buy on ebay if its a business selling a product. I dont really trust private sellers.

ok so today got her running but not the best. I think the Harmonic balancer got a little loosened as it is making a wobbling noise will check it out once it cools down.

Nice! When was the last time this truck was running?

Redneckfordf2502002 01-09-2014 02:29 PM

It hasn't been running since I got the truck and has been sitting 6 1/2 years no dizzy or intake. 1 year with no dizzy or intake the rest of the time it had it. I bought it 2 1/2 years ago.

Haven't had the time yet to get to working on it but we are almost sure that is what is wrong now. Drove it a few hundred feet has tons of power.

Nice work, always feels good to get 'em going again.

Yep and yesterday really quick pealed the tape off the tailgate. I have to get out there and check that balancer later today. I hope that is all that is wrong fix that then take it for another test drive and check the 4x4. I know when I took it for a drive the other day the speedometer wasn't working too.

Redneckfordf2502002 01-12-2014 11:29 AM

Ok so yesterday took her out for another test drive. Has tons of off the line torque I have to say if you ask me more power then my dad's 86 F150 had before maybe because of the C6 trans.
Tested the 4x4 man that thing has the 2nd strongest 4x4 low in a ford I have ever felt. (Bronco II with LS being first).
I did also give her a car wash and cleaned all the windows tested the all the lights and such. So now on to my issues:

The speedometer doesn't work I have pulled it out of the t-case and turned it and the gauge does move so completely confused on this.
The oil pressure and voltmeter gauge doesn't work at all and I have a battery light on. I have to mess around and figure this one out.
The turns won't show up sometimes unless I budge the steering wheel one way or another not sure why just yet but must be in the column.
My power steering whines a bit but it is starting to calm down as I drive it more so this may not be a problem at all. The steering it a bit tighter then I remember in my dad's old 86 F150 but could be my imagination.
Going to mess around a bit more maybe today and figure it out but going to start a thread to get some answers.
