Good morning Caleb, Steve, and the Alabama gang, happy Friday!!

CalebJns 05-21-2010 08:36 AM

Morning Pat!

67nukeford 05-21-2010 08:39 AM

What's on the agenda for today Caleb?

CalebJns 05-21-2010 08:42 AM

Finally going to haul some stone and sand for my dad...he has been patiently awaiting me finishing up my truck so I can "help" him around his yard...24 2x2 Concrete walking stones, and 2-3 bucket loads of sand...all that depends on the weather though.

How bout you?

67nukeford 05-21-2010 09:03 AM

Well, not much going on here today. I'll be painting a bunch of closet/interior doors this weekend. We're painting over all of the dark trim in the house, to remove the 70's look. With the weather in the 80's, should be perfect!

CalebJns 05-21-2010 09:08 AM

Sounds like fun...we have been in our house for 3 years now??? I think, and the wife is ready to repaint and redecorate...my vote is for a deck on the front...probably nothing this summer due to not being around a lot...VBS June 1-4; Costa Rica June 7-14; Ecuador July 5-13; then school starts back for her in August...plus hang out/goof off days with the kids from Church scattered throughout the home time...looking forward to a great summer!!!!!

67nukeford 05-21-2010 09:11 AM

Man, you're going to be all over the place this summer! I've redone almost every room in the house. These doors are one of the last few things needing done. Just have to finish the kid's bathroom, and redo the bannister railing.

Let me know when your free, I would be more than happy to let you come in and work around my house...I have plenty of free time!

Looks like my plans have been altered for the day...Puppy watch! Got up to feed the Labs this morning, Sophia (our Black Female), decided that today (sometime soon hopefully) will be the day for her to bring forth her puppies.

67nukeford 05-21-2010 12:55 PM

I hope everything turns out okay with the puppies! I need to get all the honey-do list stuff done, so I can get back to work on my 67. Going for a junk yard run the sunday of memorial day weekend. One of our members in Nebraska owns it. He has a 79 that I'm going to pillage for parts for the 67.

CalebJns 05-21-2010 01:41 PM

I have been looking for another "project" truck...still have a little work to do on my '78, but like the wife and HER projects...she has started to get into quilting, SHE doesn't finish a project before she starts another, so it's only fair...Good luck on your search...

67nukeford 05-21-2010 01:45 PM

Just going to grab the power steering box and pump, the front disc brakes, power brake booster, wiper controls and delay motor, panel surrounding the fuel door, and if I get really ambitious, may take the dash out of it. I've considered changing over to the later dash. I want to take another look at it, though, and see if I like it better.

Quick question, I will start a new thread in the General Forum this evening...did my first MPG test this week, am only getting 8-9 MPG in the truck...I am running 255/70/15's on it, engine is a 351W with a 4bbl Holley Carb, (600 think) Transmission is a C6...I should be able to get better MPG's shouldn't I? Depending on the weather tomorrow (supposed to be nice) I will probably readjust the carb...take it back to "default" and reset it according to its specs...any other suggestions? Doesn't have A/C in it, ride with the windows down! Let me know...thanks

Well, some exciting events on the evening...first I did help my dad out today hauling a "few" things for him...turned out to be almost if not more than 3,000lbs of concrete materials...WOW...gotta say the ole' truck handled it like a beast...it was probably a lot more than it should have ever had in it, but got it done...

Most fun was when I returned from Graduation, went out to check on my little black female lab...she had 5 adorable little puppies crying and screaming! She is only 10 months or so, but handled it like a champ...
