Took a ride on the Spirit of Peoria a few years back and the carp were jumping all over the decks. Deckhands were kicking them back in as fast as they jumped on the deck.

Asian Carp are desired by the Orientals. I say let em have have em back. If they get into Lake Michigan they will destroy the ecosystem of the Great Lakes.

I never heard of a processing plant here in Peoria.

There is a Redneck fishing derby each year in Bath where they catch them anyway they can. Jump into moving boats and with nets.

ALso Rick, the guys who are setting up the processing plant in Peoria is a group of CHinese. The plant in Kentucky just shipped 1 million pounds of it back to China

They all need to go back to Asia and the persons responsible for bringing them here should be hung up by the nutz.

well they were brought here in the 70's, down in Arkansas, to clean up the Catfish crap. Then the Mississippi flooded, overflowing and pouring the carp into the MISS, then they came upstream and have been reaking havoc ever since

Yes, I know this. Does the Upper Mississippi have problems with them also?

Interesting Clint. I hope it works and the City of Peoria keeps their fingers out of it.
