jredline1984 03-15-2011 08:12 PM

Howdy Guys! Im just scouring the net for more car parts, lol

fire240 03-15-2011 08:16 PM

I wish I could afford to get a project vehicle.

cbradford 03-15-2011 08:18 PM

Mustang parts?

jredline1984 03-15-2011 08:24 PM

Only downside to a project vehicle is it is always a project. I really don't spend money on anything else, lol.

Sure is for my Mustang Chris. Im trying to get the engine finished up in time for summer. I have a couple of poker runs I would like to attend.

cbradford 03-15-2011 08:29 PM

Good luck and hope you make it!

jredline1984 03-15-2011 08:33 PM

Lol, me too! Thanks bud! I just want it running, doesn't have to look pretty, haha

fire240 03-15-2011 08:34 PM

My brothers truck will be alive again next week. Shop just ordered a new motor for it.

jredline1984 03-15-2011 08:38 PM

Thats great news Shaun!

So what parts are needed yet?

fire240 03-15-2011 08:42 PM

Yes it is Corey. They found out the high water never entered the motor which is a good thing. But it looks like the oil pump went up instead right before he entered the high water and the motor seized up.

jredline1984 03-15-2011 08:52 PM

Chris, I still need some lifters, a water pump, timing chain, and balancer for the block.
As far as the car, Im waiting on a local junkyard to get me a core support out of one of their vehicles so I can get an aluminum radiator mouted. Than I have to get my late model hydroboost installed along with an 8.8 rear end. Wouldn't be so bad but I don't have a garage, lol.

Sounds like it was a mechanical failure unrelated to your brother then Shaun. Is the shop replacing it under warranty, if any?

fire240 03-15-2011 08:54 PM

His extended warranty expired in december Corey.
