you shouldn't be responsible for this, the dealer told you that it was better for the truck.

Thank you Chris. I will try to get this resolved but if I can't then I will let my wife take care of it! She is tough!

Promise chocolate. You might be able to get a free oil change out of it too

So sam, How did this work out????

skirk55 09-05-2008 06:38 PM

The dealer told me they would split it with me. At this point I do not want any more phone calls to them. The dealer is at fault. I do not like to argue about this with them anyone for any reason. I also now have second thoughts about a dealership and my trust. I will order the flares my self and they can get s^$*#$%. I am going to call Trick Truck this week. If I purchase the flares in Delaware I can save on the tax. The flares have to cover 2 1/2" for inspection.

That's a real Bite Sam, but half is better than nothing. Let them pay for half
and then tell them to kiss off. I know your peeved about it but no sense in cutting
off your nose to spite your face.
That's my 2 cents anyway

savage2211 09-05-2008 07:27 PM

Sorry about that sam.....I do like the looks of the flares on the truck...

skirk55 09-05-2008 09:43 PM

I may just use them for inspection. I don't like them. The tires look good now and that will look stupid with big flares.

Sam, check with Ed, The Parts Man for a good deal on the flares if your dealer won't sell them at cost.

Sam the brushwacker flares are not bad looking you might like them once you have them painted. Sorry about the luck.

glruff 09-06-2008 06:08 PM

I like the flares also, got the factory flares on my F250 and Ranger.

Gives them both a finished look.

skirk55 09-06-2008 06:13 PM

George what mfg did you get? How much do they cover? I need 2 1/2" to be legal.

glruff 09-06-2008 06:16 PM

Mine are from Ford, came on the trucks.

I'll check in the morning after it stops raining to see, I think the F250 is 2" and the Ranger is maybe 1 1/2" but not sure.

glruff 09-06-2008 06:16 PM

Have you got pictures you can post of you truck and wheels?

skirk55 09-06-2008 07:02 PM

I purchased a digital camera and I can not use it! I can not download photos. I wasted $400.00 with this pain in the a** camera.
