It makes financial sense:) My dad also works on the side fixing sleds, boats, power saws, quads, ect; so he needs to keep a fair bit of space open.
Me, I keep my horse trailer in my yard durring the summer and back it into an outdoor parking spot at my grandpa's house for winter. The sled gets stored indoors in my dad's shop whenever its not getting used, and my truck is with me all the time:) |

Its actually hard on a vehicle to go though major temperature swings. The best thing for a commonly used vehicle is an unheated/cooled garage.

His shop is heated with a forced air wood furnace. He has 3 windows on each side wall, along with windows in each of the bay doors. It also has a floor drain, but no wash bay:) He does have a plumbed compressed air system, exhaust fans, retractable trouble lights, and a retractable extension cord:)
Also has a hydraulic press, drill press, cutting torch, mig welder, arc welder . . . . . . |
