We've had more rain than we know what to do with here lately, but this week is supposed to be great (except for being at work instead of riding my hawg).

Why does it always rain where we dont need it, it needs to rain in Cali or where the fires are

Most of the Republic of Texas has been under drought conditions for a while, but when you get 2" per hour here and there, the majority of the rain runs off rather than soaking in, so a week later, you lawn is crispy all over again. What we've needed (and finally got Saturday) is a good soaking rain with 1/4"/hr rates for a solid 12 hours on a more frequent basis. I'm sure it's Bush's fault - unless it's because of people deleting their emissions stuff!:-blah:-blah

Rain can pretty much kiss my butt at this point :)

For a solid week now, rain has been kissing my butt...and my head, shoulders, arms, legs, etc.:( I'm usually ok with nasty weather until my socks and underwear either one get wet, then I'm pretty much done for the day.

Yes...the same happened to us while at camp (like all week) and then we got more last night. I'm just done with the whole rain thing for a while. I'd like to see what I remember as the "sun" some time.

Jigger2020 06-30-2014 10:48 AM

Well up here its raining & the sun is out, lol........ they're calling for blue skies here... I hope

There has been a strange yellow orb intermittently coming out from behind clouds today making it hot and humid.

We could REALLY use some of that rain here in the southwest.

Sgt93 06-30-2014 11:36 AM

I forgot to cover one of the Big Green Egg grills I used last night, and left the top dial open. So much for reusing that lump charcoal tonight. I mowed yesterday and you wouldn't know it. It's grown that much from the rain. If this keeps up, I will have a wet basement soon.

EO2SeaBee 06-30-2014 11:43 AM

Brett, you're welcome to come down and take some back with you.

Steve, My lawn guys actually mowed in the rain Saturday. Fortunately, mine still looks mowed, but it's growing fast! Move to Houston. We don't have basements!

I'm at the point now that I would rather have the time off than the money.
