fixed. so excited for snow. More time in the garage, and less time doing yardwork.

Good morning FTE! Too busy...

I doubt I'll be able to make this, but I'm going to try. Probably pound the wifey's GT if I do make it.

Good morning Dale! That is cool! Glad your liking the new schedule.

Wonder if we will actually have snow by haloween again?

Good morning Dustin! I doubt we will have snow by then again. It will probably cool down now and then be in the 80's for October! LOL

Don't worry global warming will be back in January! LOL

What yard work? There is camping to be done in the summer. Yard work can wait till December. :D

Good morning and happy Thirsty Thursday.

Now they call it "global change"...

fordpower88 09-13-2012 10:56 AM

Good morning Jay! I bet the heater wouldn't work so good on that bike anyway! LOL

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 11:33 AM

Nope. That heater is weak!

Just need to duct the exhaust into your coat for hot air :-X04

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 12:01 PM

Or I could just have you bottle your hot air and ship it to me Jim. LOL

And if your Diesmell can't, well, it's going to be embarrasing for you to get outrun by something with spark plugs after all that dough you threw at it. }> It was in the 90s when I made that pass. A corrected slip puts it in the 15s.

MisterCMK 09-13-2012 12:39 PM

That sounds about right for an S197. I think I ran a 13.96 or something like that in my Dad's 07 up at Interstate.

HP junkie 09-13-2012 01:45 PM

Well, I have a slip from GC (GroveCreek) raceway and my slip shows my 7.3L running 9.80's in the 1/8th.

Would you two just meet and get it over with already. You two sound like a married couple. LOL!

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 02:31 PM

I agree with you Cory. Lots of posturing but no action...

Troy-How long does it take to get to Breckenridge from Morris? About an hour?

Yes sir about an hour. Whats up there?

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 02:52 PM

Bird food...for mom. She likes to use shelled sunflower seeds and they cost a fortune to buy retail.

HP junkie 09-13-2012 02:54 PM

Well Troy, looks like you have a job to do. Grab the rollback and load it up!

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 03:02 PM

That would be slick but I figured I could run up there that weekend we camp in Morris. That Friday morning (we will be there Thursday night).

HP junkie 09-13-2012 03:20 PM

Ooo, road trip!

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 03:38 PM

That's the plan anyway. I would rather sleep in but I probably wouldn't anyway so I might as well get up and get there early. Then I can get back early and start drinking...

Well if between now and then I am up that way I will let you know and I can get it for you. We will also plan on heading out there Thursday night depending on what time you will get here.

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 04:15 PM

I appreciate that Troy. I am guessing we won't be there Thursday until close to 8:00 or later.

Just doing a swim through......

msmenne17 09-13-2012 07:13 PM

Good evening everyone! Kids all informed me at supper that they want to play hockey this year. Registration fees alone would be $850 for the three of them. Equipment would be on top of that plus fundraisers. Uffda.

msmenne17 09-13-2012 07:27 PM

I'm starting to suspect some funny stuff with this transmission. It was acting REALLY funny this afternoon. I swear it slips in 1st and 2nd. Not ever time but about half the time it seems like it's revving way high for the speed I get out of 1st or 2nd. Today it wouldn't shift into 3rd for a bit. It finally slammed into 3rd. From that point on, it was acting real funky. The od light was flashing for about 20 seconds. That quit flashing then the torque converter started locking up between 5mph and 10mph. It was acting like the fluid was low, but it isn't. I checked when I got home and it's still full.

That is not good news Michael. My thumb feels for you.

Your thumb made a great sacrifice. I just hope this is something simple and your injury wasn't for nothing. Not sure what to do now other than roll it into the river and claim insurance. The insurance company values it quite a bit more than anyone else.

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 08:27 PM

Sure wish I had a good answer for you.

And don't feel bad. I am sure I would have hurt myself in one way or another that day. Haha

msmenne17 09-13-2012 09:09 PM

Not sure what they are going to say if I call and claim warranty. I doubt they'll just give me my money back and let me keep tranny. They do have my old one though. Not sure which is better. They still haven't refunded my core yet either. There are really only two transmission places down here. One is Aamco. I used both when I had my Grand Prix. The first rebuild lasted 75K when the OEM lasted almost 100K. The place that did it that time has a good reputation. The second one was still going strong when I sold it. The second time was done by Aamco.

msmenne17 09-13-2012 09:15 PM

I knew it was going to be a crap shoot, but I had hoped for better. :(

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 09:16 PM

Tough decision but I think I would try for the warranty claim though.

I'll have to call them and figure that out.

My wife and I both agreed no hockey for either boy. Ridiculous the amount of traveling and stupid hours for ice time.

Good evening MN. Got my friend's trailer loaded up with scrap to take in tomorrow hopefully get at least $150. Put it into my toy funds account

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 09:39 PM

Good evening Jim. Good luck on the scrap.

wildstang 09-13-2012 09:51 PM

Thanks Jay. I'll get my workout unloading it.

DieselCamper01 09-13-2012 10:01 PM

Gonna head to bed. Have a good night guys.

msmenne17 09-13-2012 10:04 PM

Good night Jay. I'll be up for a bit yet. This is one of my designated nights to study. I'm obviously accomplishing a lot since I'm on here and looking at stuff for work. LOL
