$10-20
Get the kit that has the install tool and comes with Loctite. Many companies make these, perhaps the best known is Speedi Sleeve. (SKF) Also; Timken FelPro Pioneer Parker etc... |
With the oil slinger bit, my 351W didn't have one either. I used a Cloyes double roller timing set, and the gears are thicker than the single roller sets.

Matthew,
Is it keeping your balancer from seating all the way? I have a True Street double roller in my truck as well, but don't have any issue. |

If it is, I doubt there is any difference in timing gears. |

Are you saying your balancer had a groove also?

That's why they make a repair sleeve. |

I called Edelbrock this morning for the hell of it and the tech told me the gear is the same thickness as the stock one. So that's the end of that.
I went to NAPA to see if they had a Speedi Sleeve but they didn't have one. I went on the SKF site but it's down for maintenance. Received some parts today the list includes Performance Distributors Duraspark II dizzy, module and Inferno coil Painless Duraspark II harness Flowtech headers 3G harness, 175 megafuse and harness Trans Dapt alternator pulley http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5cad300b.jpg http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/...psfd23c468.jpg http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5572e3c8.jpg http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4b942a08.jpg I'm not even going to post a pic of the pulley, it's very poor quality and I'm sending it back. Does anyone know of a good pulley for a 3G upgrade? I looked in the "how to's" on the 3G install and it shows him switching pulleys, but he doesn't specify where he got his single groove pulley. |
Cool stuff. But it is a shame about the pulley. RJM used to have them cheaply, but that place appears to be gone.

Here's the new headers

Looks good. A bit of bending and the brake line will be fine.
