More powaaa! :-X04 lol! Isn't that everybody's goal?


It's just my DD/wood cutting truck/occasional TT hauler. The orings need replaced and the injectors have many miles so I just want to get them rebuilt. I will not be doing studs or upgrading the turbo anytime soon (if ever), so it's 1's or 1.5's.

1.5's are the same size as 1's, just 30% nozzles. Is that going to require more oil than just 1's?

If you don't get after it hard it will be fine. However if you like to push the go pedal much, that 15* will struggle. 1's or 1.5's won't be fully used unless you upgrade the pump. Even then it's still hard to get the full potential out of them without a bigger turbo. Heat will be your enemy first with the stock turbo.

One thing that's commonly overlooked is boost. I have to keep boost in check every bit, if not more than EGT's with my 2's. And that's with blown apart uppies.

OK, so that sounds about like me. I went with the Stage 1 injectors (I still don't have a chip yet though). I called Jim and told him what I was wanting out of the truck, what I wanted to spend eventually on supporting mods, etc, and he suggested Stage 1 injectors.

In all honesty if you are just mashing the pedal in short bursts for fun either one would be fine. But if you start pulling a load you are more likely to have EGT troubles with the 1.5s.

My plan is to do injectors, efuel, and IC (I've had one mounted to the truck for over a year now, just no pipes. :-X15) now. Then a T500 and chip reburn later. I need to start piling parts for the efuel so that I can work on that while the injectors are with Jim.
