here Pat...........

67nukeford 10-29-2012 10:36 AM

Thanks Charlie. Sandy seems to be a little bit more of a pissed off biotch!

glruff 10-29-2012 10:37 AM

By the way they are talking, NY City is going to be drowned!

67nukeford 10-29-2012 10:38 AM

They said the same thing a few years ago.

glruff 10-29-2012 10:53 AM

Yeah but Sandy is 5 times the storm Irene was

BIGKEN 10-29-2012 10:56 AM

Frankenstorm is a BIG girl!!! I don't know who pi$$ed her off...but they better make amends!!!

My brother lives in Joisey...just northof Point Pleasant Beach where NBC is broadcasting from. He's already moved further inland out of the flood zone.

67nukeford 10-29-2012 10:57 AM

Morning Ken! Yeah, I know George. Maybe this time they'll have it right, which isn't a good thing.

BigBlueMacDaddy 10-29-2012 11:07 AM

My rain gauge is showing 4 & 1/2" of rain so far.

67nukeford 10-29-2012 11:08 AM

Howdy George. Damn, how long has it been raining?

Looks like Sandy's getting meaner as she goes North:

And she used to be so nice & friendly... when she was below the Keys!

tiny1 10-29-2012 01:35 PM

Hold onto your hat everyone.... this is going to be a bumpy ride for all of us.

67nukeford 10-29-2012 01:44 PM

And we'll be keeping you boys in our thoughts and prayers to keep safe.

glruff 10-29-2012 02:19 PM

Looks like the storm is 80 miles or so off the coast.

Really heavy rain and high sustained winds right now.

Expecting for electric to go out any time. Knock on wood, no trees down so far.

67nukeford 10-29-2012 02:24 PM

George, in case you lose power, be safe, bud. Hopefully you'll be on for a while!

SteveBricks 10-29-2012 02:25 PM

Got the generator ready to go?

glruff 10-29-2012 02:38 PM

Tested the generator out Saturday, got 20 gallons of gasoline, should be good for 2 or 3 days run timey.

Time for me to head out. I'm going to get back on later and see how things are going, be safe guys!

glruff 10-29-2012 04:10 PM

Have a safe trip homey Pat.

Oldtrucknut7077 10-29-2012 05:12 PM

Hey George, you folks alright there?

glruff 10-29-2012 05:24 PM

Doing just fine Scott.

The electric just went off and on 3 or 4 times now, just a matter of time before it goes out I quess.

Wind is really howling now. Sandy will come ashore some where near Cape May, NJ, then cross the DE bay near Middletown.

Thanks for asking

BIGKEN 10-29-2012 05:31 PM

George...glad to hear you're still OK...Frankenstorm has been a big bust in Western MA...about a 1/4 inch of rain and some wind. I'm satisfied with that.

BigBlueMacDaddy 10-29-2012 05:35 PM

We're looking at 7 & 1/2 " of rain in my gauge right now........... Hey, that's fine as long as it all stays outside where it belongs!!!! :D

glruff 10-29-2012 05:36 PM

BK, the worst for you is yet to come. Probably late tomorrow or early wednesday

glruff 10-29-2012 05:36 PM

We have officially lost electric

glruff 10-29-2012 05:37 PM

WOW BG, we only have about 5". Must be because you live uptown. lmao

BIGKEN 10-29-2012 05:38 PM

Prognosticators are calling for windy conditions until sometime tomorrow afternoon. The Eastern part of the state is getting hammered from the sea...wind gusts outside Baawston of 81 mph.

Oldtrucknut7077 10-29-2012 05:38 PM

That stinks George. Hang in there & good luck.

Dang Big George, there's still plenty more to come.

It is still blowing and looks terrible under the streetlights, but the gauge is only registering 8" now... So we're getting more wind than rain now.... I still see no trees down yet, and here I sit with two spanking new 18" chainsaws and twenty gallons of gas!!!!
Maybe I'll slip out and "assist" some of my neighbor's trees to "go to the light"..}>
