Nice looking truck. I'm needing a new front bumber too. Guess I can start looking for an 08.

I have a 94 extended cab that my son just toasted the front bumper...is there any modifications needed to install that 08 bumper or will it bolt up to the existing brackets?

body looks to be ready for restoration .

BenchSeatBobby 03-12-2022 06:38 PM

I plan to restore it

awchief46 03-12-2022 06:55 PM

i'm trying to keep mine 100% stock. no aftermarket mods. i have the original rims but have always liked babymoons. i just received new interior door panels which i'll install in a week or two.

BenchSeatBobby 03-12-2022 07:11 PM

Where did you buy your doorpanels from? The previous owner wasn't very nice to the interior.

awchief46 03-12-2022 07:19 PM

I have (will soon had) cigarette burns on the pass door panel (ug) now will be a Non Smoking truck. I found them on carparts.com, bit pricey but will restore the interior to just about new look. Have some more work to do on the dash, missing louvers on the A/C vents. I have already replaced all the door and window gaskets to give it a really tight feel and reduced wind noise. biggest issue i have now it the rear main seal has a leak, not looking forward to that at all.

I should tell you that your '92 looks like a dream compared to what i started with. Mine sat outdoors next to a garage had about a 1/4 inch of bird crap and moss ( i live in the Pacific Northwest ) Moss grows on the kids if they don't keep moving. The paint job has been my most expensive part so far, and it is the original color.

Its in really good shape other than the interior. Its in much better shape than my 93 was this one has rockers lol.

Someone else did this, on here recently, -->google "6.4 bumper on OBS"

bumpers from 08-2010 F250s and F350s installed on Ford OBS trucks.

necessitates CUTTING OFF the front frame horns and custom brackets

Here's my newly acquired 88 F-350. Completely rust free California truck with 460 & C-6. Sorting out some electrical gremlins, then on to paint. Looks good at a distance, but the clear coat has peeled completely off of the hood and roof.
