we can use a saw zaw to cut you a "head hole"

Toyman 05-14-2013 08:08 PM

I think we need the jaws of life just to be able to make a head hole, this thing is flat.

Only of you provide driving goggles too, cause you know... This thing just flies down the street. hehe, I would accept beer goggles.

Toyman 05-14-2013 08:13 PM

beer goggles and a full face helmet would be totally necessary

We might want to duct tape some foam on you too... Just incase it lands upside down again

Wait you expect me to land upside down? Pfft, I'm better than that!

Maybe if we put a propeller on top of the helmet we'll get a little more distance...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I don't think you can drive a VW you have to wear it. I've always been afraid to sit in one. I worry a grown-up might come along and step on me :-) Before y'all bring out the knives, let me tell ya's I'm a 71 yr old X. Ex USAF jet engine mechanic, ex long haul truck driver (30 yrs), ex boilermaker fitter/welder (12 yrs). My old man had a model T then a model A. I've wrecked more Ford's than Henry ever built himself. At 14 my grandpa gave me an old '40 Ford coupe (1st one I wrecked) I remember when 25 cents would buy you 2 gallons of gas and you could ride the main drag all nite with a quart of beer and a pint of muscatel. My primary ride is a '87 Bronco Eddie Bauer edition I've had for about 20 yrs. Ok thanks again hack away, if I can give it, I can take it, and if it's real good I'll want more of it.

Sounds like you came prepared for this thread :D And you seem pretty darn experienced, we seem to be having an issue with out landing gear falling off. We hired some... Ladies, to help but they seem to be distracting more than fixing. We tried duck tape and bailing wire and it worked for a little while..

The sop for loose unstable or gravity challenged landing gear is not, as you found out Alabama chrome or Wonderbread ties, it is simply Elmer's glue but you have to chew it fer near bout 2 hours for it'll stick good. There is one precaution you should be aware of. Don't git it mixed in with yer Redman backy, makes a teruble mess and won't hold worth a flip.
