I guess cause I sold the Ranger last year. Kinda got busy with my gun hobby and my 77 Comet. But hey, if you've got questions to ask, ask away. Always willing to help someone, even if they don't want it sometimes (I've been accused of dishing out "tough love" many times, LOL) I'll try to get over there and stir up some sheite I guess
Just wondering why no one has seen you at RPS or TRS for a long time? You always had good info there and somehow put up with us idiots! Some of the advice being giving lately sure is lacking.

the engine fired right up and ran fine with the way its configured before the spring snapped, so i'm thinkin after i reset the timing chain that should fix the problem, even with the distributor sitting the way it is... atleast i hope so
Mostly what all I will have to do to get It into good shape. The interior is pristine. My grandmother bought it new in 1970, hell it even still has the original dealer sticker. It has under 89xxx miles on it. I'm not positive which engine it has, but i can find out the next time I'm at my Grandmothers. anyhow it has been sitting for a few years now, and before that my dad drove it some, but i think it was having carb problems. it has the auto transmission. it has fairly minor surface rust, as it has never been garaged. i want to know what is really involved in restoring the motor to good running/driving condition. thank you
Hello, I have read several of your post, and have found the very knowledgeable and informative. My grandmother has a 1970 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT Camper Special that I am considering restoring, I need to know how to get started. Any information you could give me would be very helpful. thank you
