Small world amigo... just noticed that you are converting your '54 to a tow truck.. my 67/72 has been a winch truck, with winch in the bed, PTO driven off the Xfer case, so I have 4 speeds in and 1 out for the winch.. Has worked for me since 1970.. I now use it to launch / retrieve my boat over the beach in Baja... photos soon..

    TED!
Shizzy From the old Traditionals site. I've got a wacky Ford powered Hot Rod pick up project and I'm needing some parts. I'm hoping to fund your project... I'm looking for a front axle assembly. I see you just cut up a 54, do you still have the front axle assembly for it?

i think i saw where you rebuilt a 49 ford truck. i stumbled upon one and i was thinking of buying it to rebuild. it was a farm truck last taged in 1979. V8 runs, no glass or seat and some rust out under bed corner. what might it be worth as it sets.

    Hi Ted,
Do you still have the clutch pedal assembly from the 1978 you want to sell?
If so, can you text me at 209-603-8525 or email me at mattbrock@sbcglobal.net.

    Thanks!
    Matt

Fordman - in a post I was reading from last year your mentioned 'For my stock engine I'm going with Hedman headers. I've had good luck with them on 240/300.' I just purchased a '74 F350 and I am trying to figure things out on it. First thing is that the PO put headers (I think the intake is stock) on it and I want to make sure I am doing reasonable things to make it run proper. Did you have the stock intake on yours? Did you heat the intake? If so, what method/part did you use to heat it? Can you please send me in the best direction for heating the intake?

    Thank you,
    Gudor

    Hey Ted,

Thanks for replying to my post! What are you wanting for the parts? Is there anyway I can get a pic of the parts that you do have?

    Thanks,

    Phil

1954 F100/F250 4x4 1Updated: 05-19-2013
These are build pics of my project. I'm taking the body off a 1954 Ford F100 and I'm going to mount it on a 1978 Ford F250 4x4 chassis. This is going to be my work truck/ tow vehicle.

Plans have changed again. No more 78 F250 4x4 chassis. So another new donor truck for the chassis. It's an 84 F250 4x4 extended cab, 351W, T-18, BW13-45.
